Can You Fight Racism While Dating Inter-racially?

I think maybe I need to stop dating. Stop having sex. Stop trying to befriend members of the opposite sex. It is simply not worth it. I do not want to have to worry that any man I date or have sex with is dating me because of deep seated psychological issues. I do not want to believe that a man chooses to get involved with me simply because he has a conscious or subconscious belief in the superiority of a white woman. It is not healthy. I do not want to have to contemplate every contact I have with a man in order to figure out if he is dating me because of the color of my skin.

I always thought the men who date me do so because I am an open, good hearted person who is fun to be around. Now, I am starting to believe that it has nothing to do with my personality. It has nothing to do with my intellect. It has nothing to do with any characteristic that makes me who I am. Instead, it has to do with my race.

I fought against this idea for the longest time. I did not want to believe that the partners I have been with were buying into the “white is right” idea foisted upon them by this society. But, when I hear the same thing from a million different sources, I have to consider it. So, maybe I need to stop dating Black men. And since I am not attracted to white men physically, mentally, or emotionally, that means I would need to stop dating entirely.

I do not want to contribute to weakening the Black community or the Black family. I am a firm believer in Black love, and have always been pretty much against most interracial relationships, which it seemed MOST PEOPLE were involved in for the wrong reasons. But I always thought I was an exception to the rule. I thought that since I am a “conscious” white woman, and I do not date men who express a single minded preference for white women, somehow I was not doing any damage. But maybe I cannot think that way anymore.

OK, so yeah, I see you giving me the laser-beam side-eye right about now after reading that title. But follow me on this one and hopefully you'll understand. You see, this week DeNeen L. Brown, Washington Post staff writer delivered another tired and retreaded piece on the state of single black womanhood in America. The piece was titled: Single black women being urged to date outside the race. At the rate they're going with this crap I won't be surprised if a game show will soon premiere on national television called "Who Wants to Marry a Black Woman". They might as well because articles like these seem to pop up every other day. Next thing you know, Barack Obama is gonna be under pressure to do something about this national epidemic of suicidal lonely black women. Yeah Barack, single black women need a "stimulus package", bruh.

My man AverageBro suggested to me the other day, that there may be a correlation between the sudden popularity and frequency of these stories, and Michelle Obama being the first black first lady. And you know what? Now that I've thought about it, he might be right. Not saying that these articles never existed before the Obama's moved into the White House. But it would appear that ever since they have, you'd be hard pressed to miss these featured articles on the plight of the black woman; yep, especially now that black is the new black. Personally, I see it as a direct attack and further emasculation of the black man, but that's just me. So yeah, maybe my man AverageBro is correct; maybe with Michelle Obama's prominence, this is just "the man's" way of reminding sisters that they'll never be as lucky?

Tiger Woods cheating? Beatdown by his wife? Car wreck? A "Safe Negro"...???!!!

It's been a so-so year for Black people; yes, there have been a lot of highs and lows. The first Black president was inaugurated just before spring; which pretty much set the tone for the entire year politically and otherwise. Then some months past that most uplifting and positive event, Michael Jackson dies this summer. And now here we are moving from fall into winter, about to close out the year, and Tiger Woods gets his ass beatdown by a white woman? His wife? For cheating?? I'm sorry, not that I know the guy, but he doesn't even look like he gets any ass or ever has! Yeah, he's one of those "safe negroes" so never in a million years you'd imagine a story like this, right? What's next, Bryant Gumbel on crack??

OK yeah, so it's a rumor that his wife "allegedly" beat his ass - I only said allegedly because I ain't trynna get sued; but truth is, we know she whooped the 1/4th black off his ass. Damn Tiger? How you gonna go out like that bruh? Yeah, I know how you Negroes do when you get rich. They forget where they come from, and the next thing you know is that they start creeping and cheating on their Caucasian wives with white girls. Uh-huh, Tiger lives next door to Wesley Snipes who is 175% black, and we all know how he gets down.

I can't help but to think that right now there's maybe a disgruntled sister from Tiger's past - maybe from the 6th grade - named Sharonda who back then called him Eldrick - um, that's his real name - as she pimped him for his ice cream money who is happy as hell because he got his ass beat by a white woman. She's probably talking shit about him just like the rest of the females in Black America; yep, I can hear them now.

Uh-huh, they dog Chris Brown out for puttin' speed knots on Rihanna's forehead, but laugh at Tiger for gettin' his cap peeled by a white girl. You know how that double standard thing works with Black folks. Oh you know the sisters are gonna talk shit about you when you get with a white girl or much less marry one. Which is funny as hell because if they had the chance to be the side chick, they would be right there with him - white wife and all.

Rumor has it - again, another attempt at me not trynna get sued - that "Cringer" has been having "relations" with some snow bunny named Rachel Uchitel. Yes, and this was "allegedly" the reason for his wife, Elin Nordegren  taking that nine iron upside his head and rearranging that ever popular winning smile of his. If your name is Gary Coleman, nobody cares that your Caucasian wife beats your ass because you're a broke midget with an attitude. But when you're Tiger Woods, any negative story about you will dominate the media cycle.

Car crash? Call it whatever sounds good, and less dramatic. But dude was trynna get the f*ck outta dodge behind the wheel of an automobile with a concession from where I'm sitting. This is Tiger Woods we're talking about here; I doubt he was leaving the house at 2am to catch that 2 for 1 dance special at the local strip club, or because he had a sudden craving for pancakes from IHOP.


SIDENOTE: Is it me, or when Tiger gets a white girl, this Negro gets them authentic, doesn't he? It's like he snatches them up fresh off the slave ships from Sweden! I could be wrong, but that's what I think. He gets the white girls that not even white dudes can get. Which would explain why the "white media" is intent on running this story into the ground.Yep, anything negative from a "safe negro" is just another one of those "see we told you," moments in history. Never-mind the fact that he's not a governor, or politician who left the country to have sex.


What's really messed up about this whole thing. Is that Tiger's wife has just given all white chicks in America some street cred. Because of her and her actions, white girls in interracial relationships all over the country will no longer take shit from these Negroes. Usually it's the other way around, ain't it? Oh c'mon, don't look at me funny - you know that's what the "brothers" say. Yep, they say white chicks are easier to control and that's why they get with them.

Yeah, that plus the whole "they give head and Black women don't," thing. Which is bullshit because I know plenty of Black women who are easy to control who don't give head. Yep, and maybe Tiger should have stuck with one of them instead of having everybody laughing at his ass right about now. I guess it's a good thing white women don't know how to cook grits. Or that my man Joey Greco from Cheaters wasn't around

Let's hope his Black side doesn't get blamed for his cheating ways.

Barack Obama, Fried Chicken, Facebook, & The Crime Against American Values

You know, all this racist stuff as it relates to Barack Obama doesn’t even piss me off anymore. I’m sorry, but racism has been alive longer than Obama, and sadly, it’s not going away any time soon. That said, why spend the next 4yrs of my life at least, pissed off at a “certain group” of people? Being pissed off does nothing in my opinion; and besides, my blood pressure can only take so much – and you know “us” Black folk be walking around with that pressure. But at any rate, though not emotionally fired up ready to slap White folks, I feel the need to point out certain racist acts.

Now it’s well known that the driving root of racism and racist actions are fear and ignorance. That said, as far as Barack Obama is concerned. Second to the “should he be killed,” poll on Facebook, this one is quite ignorant. Yes, and I’m afraid as fear goes? They're not worried about killing him with this one. So I guess it’s safe to say that the person who uploaded this photo on the RNC’s fan page is fearful that through race mixing, particularly where Black and White people are concerned, there will soon be a shortage of fried chicken.

OK, so I’m not White. But I’m just guessing that when you sit around fearful of becoming the minority in this country come 2042. One of your concerns is that suddenly there’ll be no fried chicken left to feed your poor welfare assistance dependent family. No sh*t, if I were a White man that would be my concern - not overlooking the idea of having to move into the projects of course and having to put all my bills in the names of my kids - but this would be a big deal for once privileged people, no?

Oh well, at least the picture was taken down from Facebook. Yep, at least this way more White folks do not become more fearful than they already are and start a movement to stop interracial marriages and courtships (you know, kinda like how they do “the gays”). After all, it’s the offspring of these unions who suffer, right? It's bad enough the negative attention containing a racist slant that Barack Obama recieves. But it's even worse when they bypass him and take it to the source of his existance, which would be the marriage of his White mother to a Black man.

Yes, forget about the decision of the “Loving vs. Virginia” case back in the day. It was a crime against American values then, and the closer we get to a point where White folks are becoming extinct from the effects of global warming just like the Polar Bears? It damn sure is a crime even more today than ever before, because as a White man, I'd be damned if I have to wake up in America and be forced to eat fried chicken and tacos for the rest of my life.
