Slave Catcher of the Week: Rev. Al Sharpton The "Refined" Agitator, Mascot, & Sellout

Usually when I feature who deem to be slave catchers or anyone exhibiting slave catcher behavior, I do so without apology. Having said that, it sorta pains me to present Rev. Al Sharpton in this light. Yes many of you Negroes have talked shit about the man in the past, and yes I've defended him and deemed him very necessary in the struggle. However, I caught his interview on 60 Minutes last Sunday, and well, let's just say I saw some things about the man that well, doesn't sit too well with me. The brother was in slave catcher mode.

To put it mildly, he has become, in fact, the "Black Mascot" of the White House as Dr, Cornel West warned him of becoming a few weeks ago. And it's sad that he's happy to be just that in "post-racial" America as it is today.

Don't believe me? OK, well checkout the interview for yourself and tell me I'm wrong. Uh-huh, pay attention to where he says "America has changed and therefore Al Sharpton has changed." And if that doesn't convince you, pay attention to his justification on not critiquing the president on anything ever and especially in the face of double digit black unemployment. I could be wrong, and maybe you can convince me, but Rev Al Shapton has truly sold out.

Sorry Al, but sitting around smoking cigars every week with very wealthy white men in Manhattan is a long way from the days of wearing track suits and carrying a bull horn. And while Negores are still hungry and jobless, that's not a good look. But g'head and get your corporate on while you can. Obama ain't gon' be there4 forever. And lucky for you, cops are gonna shoot yet another innocent Black body in the future. We in the hood are watching you, pimp.

Slave Catcher of the Week: Spike Lee? Really, Clifton Powell?? No, not you, Spike!!!

I didn't really get all into the supposed beef between Spike Lee and Tyler Perry. Of course you can look at the banner on this site and you can figure it out pretty quickly, that I'm down with Spike; yes Tyler Perry, say something and imma start a boycott like we did Sal's Famous Pizzaria, son! But anyway, my man "Pinky" appeared on the Russ Parr Morning Show recently, and when asked to share his thoughts on the beef, he went smooth the eff off, son. I mean he put some stuff out there on my man Spike that makes me know if it's true.

Check it out:

"To be honest, I don't like Spike Lee. Spike is worse than any one of the mans [sp]. Because back in the day...and I hope Spike is listening cause I'll beat your punk ass. I don't like Spike. I have never said it publicly out, but Spike is a hater...I shouldn't have said it like this, but I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm from the streets and you got to take care of your people...Spike needs to go sit his punk ass down and stop talking about Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry was homeless about 10, 12 years ago and Spike wasn't writing him no checks. I don't like Spike Lee because I don't like his politics as it pertains to how he deals with African-Americans. I auditioned for Spike several times, he kept all of us waiting for hours. It was insulting, he made people fly across country, pay for themselves and come to auditions. Spike is the worst and he needs to go sit his punk ass down!"

-- Actor Clifton Powell voices his opinion on the ongoing feud between Tyler Perry and Spike Lee. (The Russ Parr Morning Show)

I'ono what Spike has to say about this. But I'ma need a response from Spike. This Negro had brothas and sistas runnin' around in 1989 wearing African medallions, Malcolm X baseball caps screaming "fight the power!!" Yes I'm not really a fan of Tyler Perry's work; and no, this doesn't mean I refuse to watch his productions. But somehow someway, I never pictured Spike Lee as the slave catcher type. Tyler Perry? Well... Gimme a call, Spike; yep, do it for Radio Raheem, son. Uh-huh, clear the air on this one, my brother.

Pastor James David Manning: "I Believe Marc Lamont Hill is Gay"

I dunno what's up with "Reverend Ruckus" and the gay shit other than possible his obvious need to repress his inner and existent gaydom. But this is the second time in recent weeks that he has attacked "the gays", or has framed a discussion of homosexuality around political correctness. Which by the way, happens to be a crutch for most people on the right who hide behind the First Amendment to advance their vitriol and hate.

Now I don't know if Dr. Marc Lamont Hill is gay or not; frankly, I don't give a damn. Or more specifically, I could give two shits if he is. As a matter of fact, I've never heard of him being "on the down low," as black men are egregiously thought to be. But, from a very good source, I have heard that he's somewhat of a playboy, and currently has a female ex-lover currently walking around at 3am with a flashlight, stuck on stupid because she's unable to get over him since their breakup. But I suppose to the mind of an idiot, him being "liberal" and working for Columbia University pretty much makes him a flaming and raging homosexual, who is possibly six months away from a sex change.

Whether Marc Lamont Hill or any openly gay (or closeted) person is in fact gay, does not give licence for any one individual or group to persecute them. Point blank, it is called discrimination, and they too should be protected by law, because said persecution comes from a place where hate is fostered.

Slave Catcher of the Week: Black Republican Garbage Pail Kid, James T. Harris

OK, so I'm sure you expected me to do a post mid-term elections post-mortem type post, but I'm not. Shit, I've said all that I had to say and explain about the elections before the elections. I mean what am I supposed to say different about it today. We know what happened; hell, angry white guys came out on top for the 234th straight year; end of story. Yep, self-interest be damned as usual.

Let's leave all of that shit up to the talking heads and talk slave catchers, OK?

Alright, so you remember James T. Harris, right? You know, everybody's favorite black garbage pail kid right-wing enabler? OK, so you don't remember him; that's cool because I'll remind you of just who he is in a minute.

So anyway, the brother pictured above on his knees happened to captured in that position as President Barack Obama's caravan were exiting from Valios restaurant in Chicago a few days ago. Well here's what James T. Harris had to say about it in a note on Facebook:
Wow. Are there any photos of a White American praying to George W. Bush? This is the perfect symbol of what is wrong with African American culture.

It's the Culture, Stupid! And it's toxic!!!

The cult of personality mixed with Democrat Stockholm Syndrome, stirred with a healthy heap of dependency and despair, equals Barack Obama and the sycophant devotion African Americans show toward "their" president.

Notice, I did not say Americans of African descent...

The distinction is profound.
Now quite naturally the comments that followed came from white conservatives, and let's just say they weren't very nice. So now you're wondering why does this note make Harris a slave catcher, right?

Slave Catcher of the Week: Operation Black Storm & The Frederick Douglas Republicans

You've probably never heard of "them", but they are deserving of my slave-catcher award this week. Which is a first, because I'm used to spotlighting individuals and never before an entire movement. Yes, an entire friggin movement, folks. A movement aptly titled Operation Black Storm.

So who is Operation Black Storm? Well, it's only a political action committee (PAC) that's put together to raise funds all the while promoting 15 black republicans running for office in the upcoming midterm elections.

I have no problem with a bunch of "brothers" getting together and pooling their resources in an effort to advance a cause; even if it is one of political and social conservatism. However, when your site says, "Tired of being called racist? Do something about it today! Help us elect qualified Conservative candidates," and urge people to donate, that qualifies slave-catching behavior in my book.
"My aim is not to provide excuses for black behavior or to absolve blacks of personal responsibility. But when the new black conservatives accent black behavior and responsibility in such a way that the cultural realities of black people are ignored, they are playing a deceptive and dangerous intellectual game with the lives and fortunes of disadvantaged people. We indeed must criticize and condemn immoral acts of black people, but we must do so cognizant of the circumstances into which people are born and under which they live. By overlooking these circumstances, the new black conservatives fall into the trap of blaming black poor people for their predicament. It is imperative to steer a course between the Scylla of environmental determinism and the Charybdis of a blaming-the-victims perspective." - Dr. Cornel West (Race Matters)
To not acknowledge the racist tactics employed by your political affiliates, to only turn around and "pimp" race or play the "race card", which is a move they despise, to raise money... how else could they be seen as anything but slave-catchers, sellouts, and Uncle Toms? But yet people like me are wrong about them.

Selling Out: Do Some Blacks Think Diversity is Bullshit?

By Tracy Renee Jones

Malcolm X had a gun and said "Respect me, or put me to death."

Martin Luther King had a dream….blah, blah…and it went a little something like this:
“I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today”.
Well apparently, Martin Luther King had a dream but many Blacks are all too comfortable holding onto a historically self-sabotaging class system of beliefs that are the exact opposite of Dr. King’s vision of ‘equality’.

Some Blacks think equality is just a nice thought, because I don’t think they actually believe that ‘the White ma' is willing to (or capable of) viewing Blacks as equal. And quiet as it’s kept; these same Blacks do not want to re-evaluate their own precious perception of themselves as a sub-standard race. They would never openly admit they themselves don’t see Blacks as being equal to Whites and they want to make sure that people like me don’t think I’m equal either.

“Oh, So You Think You’re Better”

Shit, if I had a dime for each time someone started a derogatory rant with this line right here. It’s often the prerequisite before the laundry list of reasons I am not ‘better’ than them. They will point out each and every visual and assumed indicator of why I must feel ‘better than’ them and how each visual indicator isn’t good enough. They make sure to remind me that I’m not White and therefore I am NOT equal (and I dam sure don’t matter either).

In the end ‘You Ain’t Nothing but a Nigger’

Stuff White People Do: Think Black People are Ungrateful for Everything

Jesse Lee Peterson: "Thank ya Massa Charlie, thank ya!!"
Listen here, I'm not racist or nuthin, but you colored folks sure know how to complain instead of being grateful for...

everything us un-colored folks have done for y'all. Hell, we let y'all go to school for free, let y'all vote, let you breathe the un-colored man's air for free, and we don't even hang youse and yer yung'uns anymore.

Uh-huh, tell 'em Jesse Lee... you tell 'em!

I reckon, seems like to me, you people ought to do away with that there Negra History Month and make it a thank ya massa white folks week instead, or sumthin! Ain't that 'bout right?

So this is What Republicans Do on Friday Nights! Damn I Love the Post-Racialness!!

Ahhh yes, those were fun times indeed. Seeing the smiling faces of slaves in warm embrace with their Confederate protectors sure makes you rethink the whole "slavery-was-bad" thing, doesn't it?

Only thing this photo is obviously not from the good ole days. As a matter of fact, the above photo was taken last weekend! At a party; and no, it's not even Halloween just yet!

Yes, the above picture was taken at a Republican shindig in South Carolina; Charleston South Carolina to be more specific. It was an event sponsored by The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW).

And of course the entire world needs to know just how "cool" they are, they posted this and other pics on Facebook. Just great; because of this "certain people" are gonna wanna pull out those black lawn jockeys.

Dubbed 'The Southern Experience', the event was held last Friday at the Country Club of Charleston. And from the looks of it, the only black folks at the country club were, well, happily dressed as slaves?

Slave-Catcher Of The Week: Anita MonCrief, ACORN, & "Operation Darkie Shield"

So, by now if you live in the real world, and not that alternate reality bizarro world which is home to wing-nuts, you're fully aware of the Andrew Breibart's ACORN smearing, that has long since been debunked à la the infamous Shirley Sherrod "I'm in the NAACP and I'm racist," FOX News promoted bullshit-ass video.

Now the one thing about the ACORN video, was that it painted black women in a negative light. According to Breibart's video, the sisters were experts in the pursuit hoe-shit; and were actually pimp/hoe consultants who sold foodstamp cards and dope, and used the "community activist" tag as an obvious front.

Fast-forward to today, and ACORN has closed its doors, and in steps Anita MonCrief, an ex-ACORN employee now turned Conservative activist. Which there's nothing wrong with her being a political activist; except that she's pimping her "I used to work with ACORN" card.

Surely anyone who once worked for ACORN can establish some credibility as a wannabe self-avowed whistle-blower, by being an expert on all the tricks of those race-baiting white liberals and the crime loving black folks who they employ, right?

This from Talking Points Memo:
Anita MonCrief, a self-described whistleblower who previously worked for the community organizing group ACORN, told tea party activists in D.C. on Friday to get involved in their local elections to prevent progressive organizations from stealing the races through voter fraud.

Tea Party groups, as TPM has reported, have raised the issue of voter fraud ahead of the midterm elections, but most voting experts say such claims of voter fraud are inflated and can lead to policies which suppress the turnout of legitimate voters.

So where should tea partiers be monitoring for action from what conservatives swear are election-stealing liberal groups? A pamphlet handed out at the meeting produced by American Majority has some ideas. Among the locations to watch: bus stops, utility bill pay centers, day labor sites and welfare offices on the 1st and 15th of the month.[...]

[...] MonCrief, who is African-American, was speaking before an entirely white, mostly middle-aged group of a little over two dozen people at Liberty XPO & Symposium in D.C. She said that it is progressive groups who are making race an issue, and that voter fraud has nothing to do with skin color.

"ACORN is run by liberal whites who want street cred," MonCrief said. "They just put the black people out there on TV and it's usually, you'll find, the most toothless one they could [find]." She said it operates in areas with a large black or Latino population, but their diversity is just a ploy.

"Let me think of a P.C. way to say this," MonCrief said. "Okay I called it 'Operation Darkie Shield'," she revealed, after being encouraged by the audience.

Officials at ACORN said in 2008 that MonCrief wasn't credible because she was fired for running up $3,000 in personal expenses on a ACORN credit card.[...]

[...] She said that the outlook for conservatives looked good for November, that the activists "can't rest on our laurels" because of groups like Organizing for America and those funded by George Soros. MonCrief recommended that those in attendance pick up a book by John Fund of The Wall Street Journal, and warned that Democrats would be trying to pass a Universal Voter Registration act which would put illegal immigrants with drivers licenses on the voting rolls and lead to double voting.
I hear you Anita, those white liberals are envious of Eminem, and yes they want street cred. Something that you obviously know a lot about despite of being a Tea Party kneecap-licking sister. Yep, you're gangsta, Anita. Gansta enough to steal from ACORN and turn around and get yours after they fired you.

Yep, get that money girl; get rich or stay jigging!

Racial Discrimination: No different than refusing to marry a woman who doesn't bathe; or not allowing black KKK members

Yep, no different than what Rand Paul and others believe, right? I'm not sure if you know much about Walter E. Williams, but for the sake of brevity, let's just say that he subscribes to the Libertarian precept. He's a noted black academic professor of Economics, scholar, and syndicated columnist. He is also an esteemed colleague of one of my favorite Negroes I love to hate, Thomas Sowell, who also writes for the Cato Institute.

Williams is also of the belief that racism, and the legacy of slavery is overemphasized as problems faced by black people today. This would explain his views as a critic of affirmative action and the minimum wage. In the following clip he explains why Title II of the 1964 Civil Rights Act is unconstitutional; and, most importantly, how a private business owner's right to discriminate, is no different than his right to not marry a woman who doesn't bathe:

I'll admit that I do not know much about Libertarianism. However, with that said, what Williams expressed above sounds more like a case of a muthafucka being too smart for his own good than anything else. Too smart to the point where his esoteric philosophical views are indeed intended for a select few. That would be, the Fraternal Order of Smart Dumb Negroes & Slave Catchers.

What's funny is how everyone regards men like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Cornel West, and Michael Eric Dyson as poverty pimps and race hustlers. But yet very little attention is paid to the likes of Walter E. Williams and others who wouldn't have a problem turning back the hand of time to a society that was more free than it is today. A society where laws are not needed because, well, the idea of an uneven playing field, is yet another fallacious notion upon which regressive people of color find comfort.

Henry Louis Gates Jr. wants us to start blaming Africans for slavery, instead of Europeans & their North American descendants. Yep, damn you Kunta Kinte!

One of the things you gotta love about post-racial America, is the new found interest in just about everything black. If you're an avid reader such as myself, and all around social network junkie, you can't help but to run into the latest "we're talking about black people," news articles and stories. One such article has popped up on the scene and has created somewhat of a buzz. Featured in the New York Times last week, was an op-ed piece by Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates  Jr. titled Ending the Slavery Blame-Game. I guess something like this is to be expected as we're into year two of our post-racialness. With a black president surely the talk of "forgiveness" was bound to come up, right?

In it, Gates writes:
"For centuries, Europeans in Africa kept close to their military and trading posts on the coast. Exploration of the interior, home to the bulk of Africans sold into bondage at the height of the slave trade, came only during the colonial conquests, which is why Henry Morton Stanley’s pursuit of Dr. David Livingstone in 1871 made for such compelling press: he was going where no (white) man had gone before.

How did slaves make it to these coastal forts? The historians John Thornton and Linda Heywood of Boston University estimate that 90 percent of those shipped to the New World were enslaved by Africans and then sold to European traders. The sad truth is that without complex business partnerships between African elites and European traders and commercial agents, the slave trade to the New World would have been impossible, at least on the scale it occurred."
When I was a kid my grandmother used to always utter the phrase, "Yuh too smart fuh yuh own good," in her strongest Charlottesville, Tobago countryside accent. After I read Gates' piece, I was reminded of this well known Caribbean idiom. It is one of those colloquialisms often used to chastise people who though intelligent, would say and do the most idiotic things, for which they should have known better. Skip Gates is a pretty intelligent and highly educated man; a man that is well respected, in the often overlooked Black intelligentsia.  However, for him to write a piece which posits that Africans are as equally culpable as Europeans for slavery, and its subsequent effects around the world, shows the dramatic irony of he himself being a slave-catcher in my book.

The opening paragraph of the piece was a hint of what was to come:
"THANKS to an unlikely confluence of history and genetics — the fact that he is African-American and president — Barack Obama has a unique opportunity to reshape the debate over one of the most contentious issues of America’s racial legacy: reparations, the idea that the descendants of American slaves should receive compensation for their ancestors’ unpaid labor and bondage."
Now this is the same Negro who had people like me across the country fired up and screaming about racial profiling after he was arrested in his own home. An event which proved to be quite the shit-storm which drew opinions from all walks of life, especially when, president Obama caught heat for stepping in the turds of the elephant in the room that is racism Yep, after Gates himself in his assumed arrogance declared to the arresting officer "Jim Crow", that "this is what happens to black men in America," he himself did a complete turnaround, only to squander a discussion on racial profiling all for a drink of beer at the White House.

Slave Catcher of the Week: H.K. Edgerton the real Black White Supremacist

No seriously, this guy in the following video should hold the title 'Slave catcher of the Millennium' - the new millennium at least. I swear, I listen to him speak in this video and he cracks-me-the-fuck-up, OK? Pay attention to the 8:29 minute mark especially; that's when he really fucked me up. Ok, Ok, Ok, I'm not gonna say anymore except....

...doesn't it look like the white dude holding the mic interviewing him did a good job of looking this guy in the eye and holding back on saying "Nigger please!" No for real, I doubt even he - the white dude - believed what he was hearing. The sad thing is that this is real and not a Dave Chappelle 'Black White Supremacist' skit.

Slave Catcher of the Week: Pastor James David Manning supports Virginia's Confederate History Month and uses the bible to endorse slavery

He just never stops, or fails to astound me ladies and gentlemen:

Yep, I know it's early in the week, and too early to pass out this most prestigious award. However, after watching the following video. I think you'd be hard pressed to come up with another well deserving recipient this week. I mean it's pretty hard to beat this especially given the fact that he brought God and the Bible into it, right?

Personally I don't see the big thrill in wanting to celebrate losing anything. But then again I'm not big on the bible or the marriage of religion and politics. Last time I checked, we're involved in two wars overseas all because of the fact that a few people are of the belief that words in a book justifies them flying planes in very tall buildings in America. We call them terrorists, but I suppose in Virginia the Confederate Army should be heralded as patriots (?). I mean after all: God wanted it that way, right?

Slave Catcher of the Week: Kevin Jackson vs. Corey Poitier

I think I might make this an ongoing meme on this blog. Yep, and I'll leave it up to you guys to decide the winner. Having said that, let's meet these misguided Negroes. Trust me, there is so much that I want to say about these gentlemen, but the last thing I'd like to do is to influence your vote. If you've been reading this blog long enough, you'll know that I'm not fond of the "slave catchers" around and among us.

These men are both Black Republicans, so this should make it interesting given the level of craziness associated with the GOP right now. Yep, those people have lost their rabbit ass minds this week - throwing bricks into buildings, sending death threats to lawmakers etc. - and in steps Kevin Jackson on MSNBC, who as he says, he "has never seen a black person lynched at a Tea Party." It's funny how these Negroes come out of the woodwork when white folks act a fool:

Next up is Corey Poitier - hopefully no relation to Sidney. Corey just so happens to be the lone Republican in a congressional race for Florida's District 17; a district that is majority African American. Corey is also Black, and well, just read about his antics below. You may not have heard about him or him how he referenced Obama at a meeting with his fellow Republicans recently. But like Kevin Jackson, he exhibits slave catching behavior:
Corey Poitier, the lone Republican in the race to replace Congressman Kendrick Meek in District 17, has a message for President Barack Obama: "Listen up, Buckwheat."

Poitier, a teacher at North Miami Beach Senior High who is also African-American, made the comments at a Broward County Republicans meeting while giving a speech against health-care reform.

Buckwheat was the name of an African-American cast member on the Little Rascals or Our Gang movie shorts. While some people say the shorts were the first in Hollywood history to portray black and whites as equals, others say Buckwheat and other African-American cast members were based on stereotypes and often not shown as smart as the others. Buckwheat was known for his catch phrase, "Otay," and unkempt Afro.

"I wasn't meaning him any harm. Maybe it was a little insensitive," Poitier tells WPLG. "It's a term that my brother and I use. It was kind of a way of saying 'dummy,' like when I say to my brother, 'Hey, Buckwheat, cut that out.' That's what it was." (source)
So there you have it, folks: a kneecap licker on television defending the actions of a few bigots, and a self loathing Negro referring to Barack Obama as "Buckwheat". This one's gonna be tough to decide, and I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on this. Help me out as I expose the slave catchers of America.

Look Mommy, there's a Negro wearing a cowboy hat, singing and getting those white folks on TV mad at Barack Obama!

"The Black community has not gotten the message yet." - Lloyd Marcus

Well, that's what the wannabe Black Republican "Cowboy Troy" said...

Maybe he knows more than I, or we know...

Whoever he is, obviously he's not one that I would label on this blog as a misguided Negro, right? But then again, maybe he is. Could it be that he hasn't gotten the message just yet like so many other people of color about the Republican Party?

I wonder what Republican leader John Boehner has to say about that socialist label...

So, how am I supposed to believe the argument that there are no racist or racial undertones to the recent protests, when these guys can't even get it together. Lloyd Marcus the authority on politics and Black people says Obama is socialist, but John Boehner says he's not?!! I can't take this new racism thing anymore; it's hard to keep up; especially when people can't even get their shit together.

But yet they're winning the battle as (R-Ky) Rep. Mitch McConnell says?

Sure I know Lloyd has been riding that Tea Party express bus all across the country lately. And no he might not be riding at the back of the bus as some of our ancestors. But who is he taking the country back from and who exactly is he going to get it when they do take it back? Surely he doesn't think his Black ass will be one of the shot callers in this nation should they be victorious in 2010, does he?

Don't let me find out that his silly ass like some of the people protesting health care reform are without health coverage.

I'm outta here...

These silly Negroes are just too much for me today...

Oh, so not only is Van Jones a communist, he's a sellout because his wife is white?

Whenever someone white speaks from a position of ignorance on race matters it's to be expected. You know that whole white privilege thing does that; and, it's understandable. But when a person of color, or more specifically, a Black m*thafucka who's supposed to be "conscious" speaks ignorantly on race matters and assumes the stance as if they themselves exude the very inescapable privilege of non-minorities? Yeah, it's a damn shame and it's enough to make a dead slave cry. Actually, it's a form of projecting what's known as internalized oppression/racism. It's the reason we see the Jesse Lee Peterson's of the world. Of course I understand the pathology associated with this mindset. But yet and still, I can't help but to shake my head in disgust at such people.

The last thing I wanted to do today was to even follow up on the latest goings on concerning Van Jones and his resignation as Obama's White House Energy advisor. But there are two misguided Negroes who have forced my hand [you can read them here and here]. Ironically, they're both Black women. One of them is an ultra conservative/republican, and from her, given that fact, I can see her relish in the moment of this being a small victory for the conservative/republican movement. The other, I don't even know what she is - she says she hates socialism which is welfare and Section 8 - but she's supposed to be "conscious" and has all the answers which explains the social ills of Black people. Somehow for the most part, the predication for these problems are not racial ones, but instead the failures of Black men; yeah, there's no correlation between racism and the exclusive "problems" seen in the Black community.

I guess then it's no surprise that she doesn't see the racial component as it relates to highly successful Black people in the political arena [read about Lani Guinier back in trhe 90s]. Nah, it's never about race; not hardly ever in her eyes. Instead, she questions Van Jones' commitment to the Black community and change because he's married to a white woman:

Then there is the little issue of Van Jones' personal life. For those of you who don't know Mr. Jones married a white woman. I don't understand how anyone can be a black nationalist one minute and marry an individual who is white the next. I'm willing to bet anything that Mr. Jones is one of these individuals (like Eldridge Cleaver) who blames the white man for all or most his troubles while desiring to sex white women. His stand against whites is (or was) more than likely one sided. He doesn't see white women as a problem in terms of white supremacy or the oppression of black people. No...he simply views the white man as the only member of white America prompting oppression.

I've said it before and I will say it again...I don't think it's possible for a black person who marries white to totally be down with the cause. There is a conflict of interest there. I don't think someone claiming to have the best interest of black people at heart can rightfully say so while married to someone who is white (in this country). Naturally these individuals are sympathetic to the needs of their spouse and those who look like them. This in my opinion conflicts with their interest of being a black nationalist.

How the hell can you be a black nationalist and not be down for creating more black people??? How the hell can you be a black nationalist and accept a member of the "oppressor's" family into your bed??? It makes no sense to me. If he was so sick of being oppressed and so down for the people he wouldn't lay up with a white woman. Perhaps this is why he moved his attention away from civil rights and on to environmental issues.

Sounds like words from a person who is completely "down" for the cause that is the advancement of the interests of people of color right? You know, those people who claim to be Blacker than thou because, well, their shit is so correct? You know, that whole "throw your Black fist in the air, power to the people" and all that other "I'm so down," bullshit? Yeah, that's the impression you get from this Black woman, right?

What about the "green" jobs Van Jones planned to create in the ghetto? Why in the hell do we as black people look to the national government to help us do what we're suppose to do? What's stopping black folks from creating their own "green" jobs? I will never understand why we can't do for ourselves as a people. You want jobs in the hood get off your ass and create them yourselves. Start a business. Help someone else start a business. Stop looking to others to lead you and start leading yourselves. Don't put your hopes in the hands of others. It only leads to failure.

Understand me when I say this....I'm not going to jump to the defense of someone simply because he or she shares my skin color. If their ideologies conflict with my own then we have a problem. It should NOT be expected of me to jump to the defense of those I don't agree with. There is no way in hell I would agree with Mr. Jones given his shady past. He is far too radical for my taste.
Isn't that the most ignorant thing you've read today? For the life of me I can't understand the idea that Black people automatically defend other Black people because they share the same skin color. To be honest, I never knew there were Black people who took to this practice. But beyond that, in a country where environmental racism intentionally persists, you're expecting Green Jobs to trickle down to urban communities on it's own? Hello, are we forgetting that the national unemployment rate is at a 26yr high? Or maybe in her hubris she doesn't realize that the unemployment rate for Blacks is currently the highest of any ethnic/racial group in this country? Yeah, be that as it may, I guess the idea of creating Green Jobs "in the hood," as the says is sacrosanct. But yet she's so down for "HER" people? Get the fuck outta here. I'm sorry, this isn't "Black Conscious Thought" as is the name of her blog. This is utter foolishness, and dare I say Slave Catcher behavior. It's a good thing there are people in Nashville TN. right up the road from me who are down for their people unlike her. These are people currently working towards making Nashville the Greenest city in the southwest as they create jobs, with the help of the organization Green For All -- an organization started by Van Jones in 2007 [read it here].

Just the idea alone that Jones is a sellout because he's married to a white woman is pathetic me. Yes, lets not look at his body of work which by the way, has a lot to do with disenfranchised, poor people than anything else. Does that make him a "Black Nationalists"? I'm just saying, did Jones ever label himself a "Black Nationalist" or was it Glenn Beck who did as a means of scaring the tin-foil hat wearing following he has? You know all one has to do is appeal to the ignorance of some by contending that a Black man is a supremacist and he wants to take away America from white folks, right? Yeah, Black supremacy bad, white supremacy not so much. Like I said, it's one thing to hear this drivel coming from non-minorities, but when it's coming from fellow people of color it's disheartening.

But I guess there were never white people who were "down for the cause," that is the social and economic advancement of people of color. Yeah, history lied to us when they told us that the first president of the NAACP was a Jew, or that the abolitionist movement was largely comprised of white people. Where would we be as a country if it were not for the non-minorities who were brave enough to step up and do what was right? Yeah, where would we be if those non-minorities who share the same skin color as Van Jones' wife never sold out? It's just as sad that there are Black people here in the year 2009 who are just as blissfully ignorant, and bigoted as the white folks who have bought and sold the idea of white supremacy. But hey, they called Martin Luther King Jr. a communist just like they did Van Jones, and like him he had a dream so go figure. I don't expect the majority of white folks to "get it" like my fellow Tennessee native Tim Wise does in this piece. But it's a damn shame when supposedly "conscious" Black people are now doing the work of the devil.

Sandra Rose is a Slave Catcher - according to her, Black folks don't read. We may not, but we sure do know ugly. And you ma'am are ugly!

So I'm sitting at the PC enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon as I spend time on Twitter. Its been quite some time since I've actually spent any time on there and actually tweet. Lately I've been more of a voyer in that regard, but today was different. I was having a great time sending out pearls of wisdom tweets which leaned heavy on the sarcastic, and having conversations with some really cool people.

While doing so, I was observing the chatter coming from conservatives about Obama, and health care reform. I even followed a link one of them put out to an article that insinuates that health care reform was Obama's cleverly designed reparations policy for Black people [read it here]. Yeah, they suggested that health care reform was indeed another Affirmative Action policy. Yeah I know, I wanted to throat-chop the person who wrote that article. Reparations? Imagine that?

So anywhichaways, I'm having a good time going back and forth with people having great exchanges and conversation. It was then that I noticed Sandra Rose, a supposed A-List blogger tweeting and throwing some serious daggers at Barack Obama and his policies. I even questioned her on one of them and she never responded. No big deal; she doesn't know me nor do I know her; so, she doesn't owe me anything. She continues on her tweet rants and clearly as evidenced by what she was saying, she's believeing all the misinformation, and disinformation concerning the proposed bill. Then she went on to say this, or send out this tweet:

@SandraRose: I would post more links exposing the ObamaCare fraud, but as you know, black people don't read.
Hold up, is this famed Celegrity Gossip Blogger asserting that Black people don't read? Really? I'm sorry, but for a Black person to espouse such vitriol is slave catcher behavior to me. Lemme guess: Black people don't read anything but bullshit celebrity gossip, right? Either that or all of her readers are white? I know this wench didn't forget her color. Now you know that's not it because when you look at her pic she clearly is Black. I'm guessing she's forgotten that. Yeah, she has obviously forgotten that she looks like Ms. Jane Pittman mixed with Celie from The Color Purple, and a splash of Meerkat. Period point blank it gets no Blacker or uglier than that, but my guess is that she was projected some of her self hatred.

Look, I don't care about how she feels about Obama or his policies. She could be a House Negress for all I care. But when you have the nerve to say some shit like that, you're actually a part of the problem. And that would be the obvious problem of Blacks being percieved as intellectually inferior; yeah, you know that old racist ideological stereotypical bullshit? Here's an idea; how about if all of those non-reading Black people stop visiting your site Sandra. Yeah, how about that? How about you lose
generated ad revenue by those non-reading Black folks' refusal to show up on your blog. Silly rabbit, you wouldn't be who you are if Black people didn't read.

Listen, talking shit and hatin' on celebrities is one thing. Hell, if 50 Cent could do it and get rich, I guess she can too. But does her spirit have to be as ugly as her face? Yes, if she wasn't a hater she'd still be ugly, but people would overlook that because the true beauty of a person is what's inside of their hearts. But I'm sorry Sandra, being an ugly slave catching hater is not a good look. It may make you money doing what you do - blogging professionally that is. But at the end of the day, it is you who has to go to bed by your damn self; and you know why? Because they say God doesn't like ugly, and you my sister are an ugly duckling (literally) who is just a tad bit bitter because you'll never be a swan.

Hopefully unlike Black people she's able to read this.

Latino Slave Catchers? Whatever happened to the whole "Vote for Pedro" thing?

Proving once again just how divisive the Republican Party is and has been in steps Manuel Miranda. Not an everyday household name like Rush Limbaugh and company, but he too is a member of their ilk. He is a former Republican staffer and aide to former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN). Miranda is also the guy who was responsible who was busted for hacking into the files of Senate Democrats back in 2004.

Yes, this guy is a dedicated foot soldier for the religious right as well as the Republican Party. He’s so dedicated, that he’s leading the charge against the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Am I the only one who happens to notice that he himself is a Latino? Yes, and I find it quite convenient that he is; it seems like when it comes to race and politics the republicans always seem to come up with a person of a similar ethnicity as an attack dog on another ethnic minority. You know, kinda like the recipient of my Slave Catcher Award? You know, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson and his antics on FOX?

Remember this:

Well in the same manner Manuel Miranda has come forth. Yesterday at a Heritage Foundation
lunch for conservative bloggers, Miranda discussed how conservatives could attack Sotomayor without alienating the Latino vote. Good move actually; I wish Black Republicans and the Republican party in general would pay attention to this when it comes to alienating Black voters – are you listening Michael Steele? In his discussion Miranda made it clear that Latinos are “just like everybody else” with the exception of Black people. Ah yes, once again as always Black folks are the exception to the rule. You see, according to Manuel Miranda: Latinos are “not like African-Americans. We think just like everybody else”:

"Hispanic polls, Hispanic surveys, indicate that Hispanics think just like everyone else. We’re not like African-Americans. We think just like everybody else. When I was on the leader’s staff, someone called me once and asked me: ‘What’s Senator Frist’s Hispanic agenda?’ I said, ‘low taxes, better education, more jobs … what are you talking about?’ And that’s how Hispanics are. This is an opportunity to educate them on all of our issues and they will resonate in the way that they resonate with everyone else."
So there it is. Black people get no love from the Republican Party because, well, we think differently unlike everybody else. Can any of you Latino/Latina readers tell me when this polling was done, and what were the sample questions? I’m sorry, but I know by extension, Latinos may have a little bit more European blood that us Black folks, and they may have never picked cotton. But even in stating that fact, only an idiot would not know that colonialism has had an effect on them in similar ways as it has Black folks all over the world. With that said, Manuel Miranda in effect, is just another Slave Catcher in my book.

Yes, forever doing the dirty deeds of “Massa Charlie” Manuel a staunch republican religious nutjob is willing to throw Sonia Sotomayor as well as African Americans under the bus to please the people he loves so much. I don't know about you, but I sure would love ton hear an explanation as to the cognitive difference between Black folks and the rest of America. The irony of all this, is the fact that they say Sonia Sotomayor is a racist member of the Latin KKK. Well, if she is, she sure doesn't sound anything like Manuel Miranda. Does that mean that the KKK allows Hispanic members?

Latino Slave Catchers?

Who knew?!?!

Black Republican Mayoral Hopeful Wants To Bring Back Lynching

Just when I was enjoying another beautiful day on and offline yesterday, I had to run into a story that makes me shake my head in disbelief. And of course, if you know me, it involves some type of racist idiot or some buffoon opening his mouth. Thanks to the always insightful good work provided by the blog Electronic Village, and fellow members of the AfroSpear, I have this to share with you.

See the guy in the pic above? His name is George Lambus, and he lives in Jackson Mississippi. Well, ole George is running to be elected mayor of the fine city of Jackson. Yep, a city that is predominantly Black. Wanna hear something funny? George is the lone republican candidate. Yep, the only one. It would appear that the republican party has never won a mayoral election in the city of Jackson in modern history. Matter of fact they've all but given up on the city. Not only that, it appears that they're not standing behind George either.

You see, apparently the city of Jackson has a severe problem with crime. So much so that the current mayor is facing federal charges for civil rights violations when he accompanied his police officers, with a sledge hammer in tow busting in crack houses. So yeah, it would appear that things are tough in Jackson as far as crime and something has to be done about it. You know what George proposes to do to help fight crime?

"Crime can only be alleviated by a noose and a stout tree limb," - George Lambus

That's right. It seems that Mr. Lambus should he be elected takes the crime problem very seriously. Serious enough to suggest bringing back lynching. Oh, and if you think I'm making this up because I have a certain disdain for Black Republicans, you're wrong. George has been handing out flyeres around his city with this proposal on them clear as day.

"Look at recent history, like in South Africa, when apartheid was abolished," Lambus said in a recent interview with The Associated Press. "Blacks went on a crime spree. Other blacks got tired of it ... and they formed vigilantes and they killed people. It brought the crime down."

His pistol nearby as he peered out a window at his decaying Jackson neighborhood, Lambus added: "When you cut your yard, carry a gun. When you go to church, carry a gun. When you go to school, carry a gun."

Lambus also asserts that executions are the only way to control crime, adding "If we look at the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, it's driven with blood." - Source

Yep, George Lambus is what I have come to refer to as a Slave Catcher. Yes, any Black man who supports, or suggests something or a policy, as he has when it comes to crime - in a city that is predominantly Black? - has to be known as a Slave Catcher in my book. If we were to all hop into a time machine and go back to the slavery days on a plantation, I'm sure George would have been the one Negro who took pleasure in publicly whipping fellow slaves. Hell, he was probably the dude who cut off Kunta Kinte's foot for running away.

Look, I hate crime as bad as the next man, but I'd be damned if I'd be comfortable with hearing someone suggesting bringing back lynchings, as a form of punishment. In Mississippi of all places?!! Clearly, this man is a fool. Truly a misguided Negro he is, and that's not just because he's a Black republican. Contrary to what Georgie Porgie thinks, studies have shown that the Death Penalty has done very little as a deterrent to crime or more specifically, violent crime. As a matter of fact, states with no death penalty share lower homicide rates. Maybe that's why Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico decided to sign the abolition of the death penalty the other day.

I have to give the republican party credit though. Yes I do.
The Mississippi Republican Party is not supporting Lambus. GOP Chairman Brad White said Lambus' message doesn't reflect "the values that we represent." Will these Black republicans stop being an embarrassment to the party of Lincoln at least if not to their race? Of course nobody is taking this clown seriously - which is a good thing - but I'd be damned if a hot cup of Negro Please isn't in order for him and his idiocracy.
