"Maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight." - Wanda Sykes
Yup, that's what comedian Wanda Sykes called old fat boy Rush Limbaugh last Saturday night at the White House Press Correspondent Dinner. I'm not gonna lie, that was one of the funniest lines I've heard in a long time. I did a blog a while back on the 2oth hijacker, and that's also why I had to laugh at that line.
Sadly, it would appear that there is a segment of the population who thinks her routine was over the top. I suspect that they are all Republicans. I mean, had she not said anything about Rush Limbaugh the leader of the party, Dick Cheney, Sean Hannity or allude to failures of the previous administration, would they be upset?
Probably not, but hey, I understand why those people are a little bit shitty. Yeah, I get a little upset when someone talks shit about my favorite NBA team which happens to be the New York Knicks. But like me, they should be able to take what they dish out. After all, I can't stand the Dallas Cowboys and I spare no moment to give their fans hell when I encounter them. That said, and me being a fan of comedy, I enjoyed Wanda Sykes' entire routine. Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or an Independent, you couldn't have helped to laugh. Lets be real, it's not like we were watching a re-screening of Pootie Tang....
Funny is funny for crying out loud, and its exactly the reason every time the 20th hijacker speaks I laugh. Of course I'm not laughing at what he says as being funny, but instead laughing at the fact that he's been able to hide his mental retardation from radio executives. An astonishing act which has led to him being on the air.
Ok yeah, so maybe I was out of line to say that. Yes, maybe what I said was insulting to the mentally challenged among us. For that I apologize. Yes I do, because putting them in the same class as Limbaugh is very disrespectful to the many mentally challenged who live among us. At the end of the day, why even get mad at Wanda Sykes?
I mean after all, isn't she an entertainer just like Limbaugh?
QUESTION:Do you think she was over the top and or inappropriate?
Sometimes I go to the dealership just to get a whiff of that new car smell. It's a shame I can't do the same at a strip club. Yes, the new car smell is free, but sadly, getting the whiffs in there isn't free nor pleasant at times; nothing like perfume to mask the funk of a 12hr day (or night) working the pole. I'm guessing they have to put in extra work just to survive in this economy. That plus with the economic downturn, I'm pretty sure competition is stiff in spots like that.
Sadly, the economy has gotten the best of me as well, and I don't see myself throwing hard earned money away, making it rain, or even swiping the crack of some woman's booty. I mean, why do that when I can come to the Internet and get that for free, right? Yup, and I'm talking premium women as in celebrity women being naked on the Internet.
Ok, if you don't know what I'm talking about, lemme tell you. A few days ago it started with Bad Boy Records' talent deficient R&B singer Cassie. Supposedly, someone hacked into her computer and posted nude photos of her online. Yup, and a few days later, pictures of Rhianna surfaced on the net as well, and yes, she too was nude. Yup, just in time for Mother's Day; nothing like some now public nudity to make ole mom's proud. I haven't heard the explanation of that one yet, but it is alleged that there is a Chris Brown/Rhianna sex tape soon to surface the net. I don't know how true it is, but in one of the leaked pics, Chris Brown is seen wearing a pair of some woman's underwear on his head, and allegedly they belong to Rhianna. If so, maybe that's why he beat her down?
Now you might say, no harm no foul because normal people take naked pictures of themselves all the time. I'm sorry, but I have yet to have my fat ass standing in front of a mirror with a camera snapping shots of my man boobs in all their glory. The point is, you're not normal if you do that shit. Either you have issues and you're seeking attention, and or you're basically trying to get paid or profit from said attention in one way or another. This is why I have the sneaky suspicion that these females in question are doing this for that very reason.
Well, why would they do that RiPPa, they're celebrities and they have money?
Well hell, Michael Jackson had money and he still does, however, he did carried a monkey around back in the day! Uh huh, and he did it for attention; yup, normal people don't walk around with monkeys, and normal people don't have nude pics of themselves "leaked" onto the Internet. Now they may have a wardrobe malfunction every once in a while, but definitely not have pics like "those" on the Internet. My question is: is this what's hot in the industry? Is the economy that jacked up that in order for a female artist to sell records she has have photos of herself "accidentally leaked" to the general public via the NET? I know in the industry new music and albums are intentionally leaked for consumption to create a buzz. So is this like the new thing now? Hell I remember when Vanessa Williams had to lose her crown and caught hell for being in the buff. Oh how times have changed.
Your ass and titties has to be put out there to create a buzz on Twitter, as well as websites all over the Internet? I mean, really, is that what I have to do to make this blog be the talk of the town? I'm just sayin! How come Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and others didn't have to do some shit like this in their day to make it? If Aretha were to come out with an album this year, is this what she'd have to do to be successful? Sure I know her titties are damn near always falling out no matter what she wears, but I mean, what ever happened to talent and clean marketing campaign? Seriously, is this what we're reduced to today in Black America?
I mean, what ever happened to self respect? Sure it can be said that ok, maybe those pics were in fact leaked on accident and not intentional by the people involved. Ok, so yeah, that could be very true. However, being a person in that position doesn't it stand to reason that you should know better? I mean this is why I think either it was intentionally done by themselves, or maliciously done by someone who meant to embarrass them, or maybe even extort them. Hey that type of stuff happens all the time. But Like I said, I think it was intentional. Hell, if no talent having ass Ray J - you know Brandy's little brother? - can have a sex tape with a rich chick and then go on to have his own reality show on VH1, one only has to wonder. All I know is, from here on out Chris Brown will be known as a panty sniffer which after already being despised for the Rhianna beatdown takes him down even further. As for the women? Only time will tell I suppose.
Any thoughts on this?
What do you feel, or what do you think about being naked on the Internet?
Whaddup world? How are you guys doing today? Me? Oh I'm chillin; can't complain; besides who the hell wants to listen to a fat Black man complain about anything, right? I just realized that it's Friday. I mean damn, where did the week go. I promise you this one flew bye as quick as the Swine Flu hype. Ok, so like, you folks know that comedy is my first love, right? Yes, RiPPa knows funny. Well, I'd like you folks to meet one of the funniest women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in the blogosphere. No joke, this woman used to blog on one of "those" social network sites and I was a huge fan for a long time till she disappeared some years ago. Well, I found her ass and I'm as happy as forced gay guy on his release from prison. Ladies and gentlemen, checkout this post from my girl Cruz of the blog Witch's Brew. This blog is describes as:
5 Witches who stir up a pinch of celebrity, pop culture, health, fitness and old fashioned common (which seems uncommon) sense.
I suggest you guys add her to your daily reading and try to keep up cuz she brings it several times a day and she won't disappoint you. I hope you enjoy the following post as much as I did.
======
I used to see this dude right, he was a pretty straight guy, you know, kinda geeky, went to college, good career, went to church, didn't curse (although not too many people curse as much as me ) I guess the kind of man most would qualify as a good man. Well let's just say this clean cut man had a dirty habit, HE WOULD MASTURBATE EXCESSIVELY. I mean I would go to his condo and catch him masturbating in the living room in the middle of the day and at night in complete darkness. I had the key so it always amazed me every time I caught him since he knew I could walk in on him at any time, it takes alot to shock me so at first I chalked it up to him being a man and doing man things. Then I started thinking, "how is this man datin a big azzed horny heffa but always jerkin off????" it just was'nt adding up. So the jerkin continued on until one morning I was awakened by a shaking bed, when I finally got the cold out my eyes and turned over ole boy was chokin the hell outta his cornish hen, right there in the bed with me!!!!!! UM HELLO, now I've let certain men in my life get away with a lot of bullshit but one thing I've always been is f*ckable, I'll be damned if Imma let some man jerk off in the bed right next to me!
This however does not trump the time I went to his house not expecting him to be there because he told me he wouldn't be and BAM!! there he was in the dark, batin the shat outta his joint and giving me the "let's do it" eyes like this wasn't the weirdest most awkward moment ever. The only positives I can take from this situation is that I clearly ain't no giver upper! I was determined to make this man and his manic masturbating make sense. I expect men to masturbate, it's what they do but when you are planning your day around 'fun time' with yourself perhaps you should seek help.
How does one develop a masturbating problem? I mean seriously, at some point doesn't the penis get sore? He probably had miscellaneous 'man love juice' embedded in all his furniture, I'm surprised I never got pregnant from just sittin on the couch. Some people are so bizarre.
After watching that video, I can't do anything but to quote the late great Martin Luther King Jr. as he spoke on injustice when he said, "Fuck the police!" Ok, so I'm not sure if that was a direct quote or not, but I'm sure that thought crossed his mind as it has yours at one point or another. It makes me wonder what would you guys do if you were ever put in that situation by someone who is sworn to uphold the law. Me personally? I'd never get myself into that situation. Yes, I would have never been one of the victims in the above news release. You know why? Because I do not talk to cops. Yes, RiPPa is down with the "Stop Snitching Movement" that so many are against.
What RiPPa, you're one of those ig'nant niggas who support that bullshit?
Yes I am, and I am proud of it. You know why? Because per the constitution I can muthafucka. That's right; the problem is people talk too damn much. Yup, and when they do, they get fucked by the police pretty much like the people in the video above. Ok, so yeah, I doubt cops all over the country are ganking folks for their unemployment checks. But I do know that the civil rights of people are constantly violated by cops. And you know why they continue to do this? Because of the ignorance of the general public.
"The Fourth Amendment protects against unlawful searches and seizures. Despite this, countless citizens have been subjected to searches without suspicion, and people of color and Muslims are disproportionately targeted for these unwarranted intrusions. The ACLU challenges such unlawful practices, and our Campaign Against Racial Profiling helps to defend the rights of those most targeted for discrimination and unfair treatment." - ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union)
Many people aren't knowledgeable of their constitutional rights and as a result, through racial profiling, you have Slave Catchers like the Black cop in the video above taking advantage of minorities. To me, that's the sad part about this situation; yes, a Black man who is sworn to uphold the law has taken advantage of ignorant minorities. I'd love to see him try that shit on some White folks. I bet his Black ass wouldn't even dare. Yup, it's usually Slave Catching Negroes such as the Black cop above who in the position they're in will knowingly screw another minority.
Now wasn't that cop a bad actor or what? If only they were like this is in real life. Hell, most of them just try to get by on intimidation which only aids them in jamming a nightstick up your ass. Listen up folks, you do not have to speak to the police ever. Lemme be clear, you do not have to speak to the police, or sign any documents without an attorney present. When you do, you often end up being the one the shitty end of the stick. Or worse, curled up beside a Hyundai getting your head bashed in like Rodney King.
In the following video at the end of this post, there's some valuable information. You'll see that currently there are innocent people who have had their convictions eventually overturned all because they spoke to the police. I'm not gonna ramble on with this one, but just know that the 4th & 5th amendment protects you from this sort of thing. Yes it does and its up to you the individual to acquire said knowledge of law and the constitution. I say that because when you do go to court, you don't want a judge to have to tell you that ignorance of the law is no excuse. So yeah watching this next video is all on you. However, I'd like you to share with me any messed up police encounters you may have been subjected to. More importantly, I'd like to know what did you do about it. My best advice for anyone would be seek counsel of the ACLU on matters like these. As a matter of fact, I think it's a good idea to join their organization. Why? Because freedom cannot protect itself.
So I log onto the internet, and check my email. I noticed an email from one of my really good friends who reads this blog on occasion. He lives in Kentucky, and like I said, we’re really good friends. We’ve worked together for the same corporation for years; hell we even lived together for a few months when my ex-wife and I first separated. Oh, and did I mention he was White? Yeah, RiPPa has White friends, imagine that. See, you people probably thought that ole Malcolm ExtraBelly aka RiPPa couldn’t have White friends.
But anyway, I open the email, and I was stunned. Well, not really stunned, more like confused. The email he sent me was giving me a heads up that Oprah Winfrey is passing out coupons for free KFC grilled chicken via her website www.oprah.com; seriously, free chicken! So I’m confused because I’m like, why is my White buddy sending me info on coupons for free KFC chicken? Ok, so like should I be insulted, or thankful? I mean, did he feel the need to tip me off because he knows how much I like fried chicken? Or did he just assume that all Black people love fried chicken or any chicken because, well, it’s from KFC? I mean jeez, do I get a slice of watermelon with my free order?
I’m just sayin, I don’t go out of my way to call up my buddies or email them info on all the free food giveaway gimmicks. Nope, this is not a normal thing for me, so I really don’t know how to take this. Is it a joke or a genuine act of kindness? I mean has he seen the videos on Youtube of all the frenzied Negroes at those recent Popeye’s discount giveaways? I mean it’s not like I can feed my entire family on just two pieces of grilled chicken from KFC. Now if it was a bucket that would be different. Of course it is an act of kindness, my man Darren and I are too close and cool for that type of stuff between us.
I appreciate the tip off to be honest with you because I was just saying to my wife a day or so ago that I wanted to try out that KFC grilled chicken. She then informed me that none of the KFC’s here in Memphis is selling the new grilled chicken which has been the disgust of some of my Negro cousins here in the city. You can’t sell something healthy as grilled chicken in Memphis. What are you crazy?!! Don’t you know that we have the dubious distinction of being the most obese city in the country?!! Oh well, maybe I can just run across the state line to Arkansas or Mississippi. Yeah, that should give making a run for the border a whole new meaning.
I must say that I am a little disappointed with this. Not that they don’t sell the “new chicken” here in Memphis. I’m disappointed in Oprah. I mean I know the economy is bad and she probably wants to help out; either that or she’s indebted to KFC, or maybe still owes them some money from her “I used to be fat” days back when Harpo punched her. I’m just sayin folks; this is Oprah Winfrey we're talking about. Oprah is known to give away great gifts on her show from time to time. Screw KFC; you’d think she would give away cars in an attempt to help out the big three in Detroit. I ain’t gonna front, that’s one coupon I wouldn’t mind somebody sending me an email about. But then again, food is expensive. Let’s just hope she doesn’t give away coupons for Chitlins for Thanksgiving. I mean, I love Harpo, God know I do! But if she does that shit I’m gon' kill her dead!
QUESTION:What's with the new chicken give away shit? Are they trynna kill us by slipping us Negroes something on the sneak tip? Are you ever self-conscious when eating fried chicken in public? Do you ever feel like people are staring at you while you eat it?
Listen, watch the following video before reading further....
Look it, from here on out, I'm gonna do something different. Instead of pointing out certain behaviors within the Black community and attributing it to the pathology associated with post traumatic slave syndrome, I'm gonna blame it all on crack. I mean lets face it, nobody, Black or White wants to accept the fact that still today much of what we see is a result of gov't sanctioned practices over 400yrs ago. Yea, fuck that slavery shit son! Uh huh, you niggas need to get over that shit; at least that's what I'm often told.
So yeah, instead, I'm gonna shift gears. Everything fucked up in the Black community is all a result of the crack cocaine epidemic of the 1980's. Is that closer to our current time period than slavery for y'all? Good, because everything that's happening now is a result of crack. Yup, and Black people brought that shit from Africa on the slave ships so it's all our fault.
Yup, all these bad ass kids running around fuckin up in school? Crack! All these single mothers raising kids in fatherless homes? Crack! Black people losing their homes via foreclosures due to predatory lending? Crack! All those dysfunctional muthafuckas on Maury everyday because they can't remember the name of the guy they fucked and got pregnant? Crack! Damn right, the condom didn't break, it's all about crack dammit. Plain and simple: crack fucked us up really bad.
Yes, everything is all because of crack. Uh huh, crack fucked us up. Instead of wasting your money and time going to freecreditreport.com to figure out why your life sucks, just realize that it's the way it is because of crack. Now watch the following video, and before you comment as to how trifflin this individual is, remember, it's not the individuals fault. That's right, blame it on crack. I mean think about it, crack babies are all grown now, right? Yup, and they are responsible for producing the spawn of their crack filled lives otherwise known as kids, right?
Seewhumsayinandshit?!! Don't blame BET, Hip Hop lyrics, the internet or none of that shit. Come on, keep it real. Before all of that, there was crack. I say it's time you people join me in the fight against crack babies; you know the ones who took the money from the sale of their 40acres and a mule and decided to grow poppy fields in the backyard? Yeah, those crack babies. It's time we told the truth about this mess. It's imperative that we do this because it's about our future generations; that's right, the kids.
What we are seeing in effect is the backlash of the crack epidemic. Damn straight, fuck the empire, Luke Skywalker and all that, the crack babies are striking back and we all gotta do something about it. Yes we do because I'm tired of seeing this. That plus my daughters have to go to school with these fucked up kids and now I gotta tell them about Pookie and Nino Brown.
Roll clip:
Now what do you think is gonna happen to or how that kid is gonna act when he/she grows up? Yeah, this kid may very well turn out to be fucked up. Hopefully he/she doesn't. But if the kid does, it will be said its the parents fault, right? Well, now you know that this is not true. Yup, no more of that personal responsibility stuff either. From here on out, who do we blame? I mean like my man Grand Puba says in the song Slow Down by Brand Nubian in the video above, "what makes a bitch wanna act in this fashion?" Come on say it with me really loud...CRACK!!!!
I just read over at Electronic Village that the mother of Mychal Bell of Jena 6 fame was recently arrested for non-payment of child support. Before I go on with this post, I want you folks to know that Electronic Village is a blog that you should visit at least once a day. My man the Villager stays on point with current events within the community. In his blog it was asked if women pay child support or are issued court ordered to pay child support. The answer is yes. Now I don't know the circumstances surrounding this woman's non-payment of support, but I wouldn't be surprised that people are going to jail in record numbers for non-payment given the economic downturn.
I mean why not; people are losing homes as a result of loss of employment, no? Am I suggesting that this was the case of Mychal Bell's mom? No I'm not because I don't know the extenuating circumstances of her situation. However, I do know that people are going to jail for being poor. Now Evander Holyfield on the other hand? He's rich, and not like the people this blog speaks about. Matter of fact, if anything his situation makes me question why we never hear about rich or wealthy White celebrities with issues like his.
"Edwina Nowlin, a poor Michigan resident, was ordered to reimburse a juvenile detention center $104 a month for holding her 16-year-old son. When she explained to the court that she could not afford to pay, Ms. Nowlin was sent to prison. The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, which helped get her out last week after she spent 28 days behind bars, says it is seeing more people being sent to jail because they cannot make various court-ordered payments. That is both barbaric and unconstitutional.
Despite her inability to pay, she was held in contempt of court and ordered to serve a 30-day sentence. On March 6, three days after she was incarcerated, she was released for one day to work. She also picked up her paycheck, in the amount of $178.53. This, she thought, could be used to pay the $104, and she would be released from jail.
But when she got back to the jail, the sheriff told her to sign her check over to the county--to pay $120 for her own room and board, and $22 for a drug test and booking fee.
Even more absurd, Nowlin requested but was denied a court-appointed lawyer. So because she was too poor to afford a lawyer and denied her constitutional right to have the court provide one for her, she couldn't fight the contempt charge that stemmed from her poverty. And her contempt conviction only added to her poverty, as the fines and fees she was obligated to pay now multiplied.
"Like many people in these desperate economic times, Ms. Nowlin was laid off from work, lost her home and is destitute," said Michael Steinberg, legal director of the Michigan ACLU. "Jailing her because of her poverty is not only unconstitutional, it's unconscionable and a shameful waste of resources. It is not a crime to be poor in this country, and the government must stop resurrecting debtor's prisons from the dustbin of history." - source
Now, that's just one instance, but wouldn't it stand to reason that with Blacks and other minorities bearing the worst of this economic recession, that they stand to be more likely to go to jail for non-payment of child support and other court ordered fines? Well RiPPa there are some deadbeats out there. True, but doesn't the economic climate receive any consideration in cases such as these? Well yeah but the bad economy thing is somewhat of an anomaly RiPPa. Also true, but hasn't the unemployment rate for Blacks always has been double that of non-minorities? Obviously they didn't do that for that woman in Michigan. And I'll say that in my opinion Child Support payments should be restricted to couples in divorce proceedings only.
In 2006, the Southern Center for Human Rights (SCHR) filed a suit on behalf of Ora Lee Hurley, who couldn't get out of prison until she had enough money to pay a $705 fine. But she couldn't pay the fine because she had to pay the Georgia Department of Corrections $600 a month for room and board, and spend $76 a month on public transportation, laundry and food.
She was released five days a week to work at the K&K Soul Food restaurant, where she earned $6.50 an hour, which netted her about $700 a month after taxes. Hurley was trapped in prison for eight months beyond her initial 120-day sentence until the Southern Center intervened. Over the course of her incarceration, she earned about $7,000, but she never had enough at one time to pay off her $705 fine.
"This is a situation where if this woman was able to write a check for the amount of the fine, she would be out of there," Sarah Geraghty, a SCHR lawyer, told the Atlanta Journal Constitution while Hurley was still imprisoned. "And because she can't, she's still in custody. It's as simple as that."
Georgia also lets for-profit probation companies prey on people too poor to pay their traffic violations and court fees.
Now isn't that crazy? According to a 2008 SCHR report entitled "Profiting from the poor":
In courts around Georgia, people who are charged with misdemeanors and cannot pay their fines that day in court are placed on probation under the supervision of private, for-profit companies until they pay off their fines. On probation, they must pay these companies substantial monthly "supervision fees" that may double or triple the amount that a person of means would pay for the same offense.
For example, a person of means may pay $200 for a traffic ticket on the day of court and be done with it, while a person too poor to pay that day is placed on probation and ends up paying $500 or more for the same offense.
The privatization of misdemeanor probation has placed unprecedented law enforcement authority in the hands of for-profit companies that act essentially as collection agencies. These companies, focused on profit rather than public safety or rehabilitation, are not designed to supervise people or connect them to services and jobs. Rather, they charge exorbitant monthly fees and use the threat of imprisonment and a variety of bullying tactics to squeeze money out of the men and women under their supervision.
For too many poor people convicted of misdemeanors, our state is not living up to the constitutional promise of equal justice under law.
In 1970, the Supreme Court ruled that it violates equal protection to keep inmates in prison extra time because they are too poor to pay a fine or court costs. More recently, the court ruled that a state generally cannot revoke a defendant’s probation and imprison him for failing to pay a fine if he is unable to do so.
Having said that, doesn't it seem wrong to imprison someone for non-payment of court ordered child support? How come it isn't a crime punishable by jail time to default on your credit card payments or even be a victim of foreclosure, but yet you can go to jail or prison for non-payment of child support? Sure you might say that the court system has a vested interest in the welfare of the children, but is that exactly true?
Until a few years ago, the police in Gulfport, Miss., regularly did sweeps of the city’s predominantly African-American neighborhoods, identified people with unpaid fines (warrants), and put them in jail. Defendants who could not pay were forced to remain there until they “sat off” their fines. The city ended the practice after it was sued. So, in closing I'll ask: is this justice, or is it just slavery by another name?
Right now I'm pissed off; yes I am very much so. Last year on this blog, I wrote about the story of Luis Ramirez, the undocumented immigrant who was murdered by a group of white teens in Shenandoah Pennsylvania. Without going into much detail, I'll just say that he was attacked by a group of high school football heroes all because Luis was obviously Hispanic. Apparently it's a crime to be Hispanic and walking down the street. Back then the police said they didn't believe it was racially motivated; however, they did note or mention that there has been an ongoing tension between whites and Hispanics.
The evidence gathered in the initial stages of the investigation all had the makings of a hate crime. Luis was jumped by these white kids, beaten, kicked and stomped while being told to go back to Mexico. When I wrote about this last year, I mentioned that this story was so low key and that just like the Jena 6 case, there was a need for some activism to bring about justice. Well, that didn't happen, and the kids were just acquitted of third degree murder by an all white jury. Instead, they were convicted of a simple assault. I don't know about you, but this serves as yet another reminder of the fact that justice is not color blind.
Check it out:
Did you notice just how elated a few of those people were as they exited the courtroom? Did anyone forget that a young man died as result of the actions of these kids? I guess not since it took the police some time to arrest anyone even though they knew who they were.
"He was at our house all day that afternoon. And it was around maybe 11:00, he asked us to take him uptown to drop him off, whatever, he was going to go home. So, we leave him at the Vine Street Park, and we drive away, Victor and I, and about two minutes later he called us and told us to come back, that people were beating him up. So we get back as fast as we could. And when we get there, he was—like the fight was over, like the boys were walking away, but they were still screaming like racial slurs, like “Go back to Mexico!”
And so, Victor and I ran up to Luis, and we said, “What happened?” But he was so mad, he wasn’t really talking to us. And those kids kept yelling stuff, and he went back, and the kids turned around, and the fight started again. So Victor, my husband, tried to like stop the fight. He tried to get the kids off of Luis, but kids were trying to fight my husband. So my husband got the kids off of him, and we couldn’t stop the fight between Luis and the—but next thing we know, Luis was on the floor. And so, me and Victor, we ran up to his side, and we were at his side. We were trying to wake him up, and the kids are still like kicking him and kicking him. And somebody—I don’t know who, but they kicked him like in the left side of his head so hard that that’s what killed him." - Arielle Garcia (witness and friend of the deceased)
I just think it's sad that minorities and immigrants -whether legal or illegal - are criminalized and are often the source racial bias and stereotype when it comes to crime. But yet, here is an immigrant who was clearly the victim of a hate crime which lead to his death, and the accused gets to walk free on a lesser charge of assault. Was his life any less valuable than yours or mine? This verdict says it is, and it's a damn shame that this is the uncomfortable truth that is America - a country known for freedom, justice and equality. Ironically, a few days ago the gov't passed an new Hate Crime Bill in Congress. As usual, most Republicans in Congress voted against it. Why should there even be a debate about such a measure? Lemme guess, not enough people have died like Luis Ramirez pictured above?
QUESTION(S):Why is it that minorities often hold the "shitty end of the stick" when it comes to justice? Do you think if this story and case were highly publicized that the outcome would have been different?
Listen, I'm gonna go ahead and say this, but um, you Christian Conservatives folks are scaring me. No, it's not the whole eternal damnation in hell thing. Nope, I don't believe in that stuff anyway. However, I want you guys to be mindful of the people among you who, how shall I say, are not quite Christlike? Ok so yeah you know as well as I do that there are fake Christians. Uh huh, yeah and the bible even warns of such people.
I just thought you should know that there are a few Christians over at the blog Conservative Black Woman who are of the belief that you're not a Christian if you voted for Barack Obama. Yup, it's pretty much a repeat of the whole real American vs. Fake American rhetoric from last years campaign. Yeah, I also heard that God is going to punish the 90% of Black people who did in fact vote for this man for president. Oh yeah, especially since Obama is going to personally perform and attend every abortion in this country under his watch.
Now, I'm not a Christian, or even profess to follow any deity, but I don't think there was a "Thou Shalt Not Vote for Barack Obama" clause in you guys' little handbook. The peculiar thing about this is that this talk was coming from Black conservatives. I say peculiar because if I remember correctly, Rabbinic law - you know, in the Old Testament - kinda sorta justifies slavery and the past treatment of Black people; yeah you know God was cool with all that slave stuff unless you were Jewish. I also heard that all the left wing liberal Blacks who voted for Obama were not Christians. I think these people are crazy with their talk, and assumed exclusivity on God, religion and morality. To me there's no telling what they would be willing to do in the name of Jesus when they drink the elixir of Christ & Conservatism, or the conservatism they speak of.
Watch this:
Look, I know you guys have had this ongoing beef with Muslims especially since 9/11, but when did the culture war start between Christians because of Barack Obama? And now I hear that there is a "new emancipation" of the American Negro led by the group ragingelephant.org, where the slogan is, "They drank the Kool Aid we'll drink the tea". Yeah, according to this group, it is their duty to bring Black people back home to conservatism like the prodigal son. Are you guys serious? You mean to tell me, this is your new plan of attack in an effort to be more inclusive of supposedly Black Christian voters in this country? I mean, do they really think the mixture of Christian religious dogma as interpreted by them, with politics is going to reel people in en masse?
I don't know about you guys, but this stuff is getting to be somewhat cult like, and it scares me. I'm afraid that I'm going to wake up one day to a news story which involves a mass suicide the likes of Jim Jones down in Guyana back in the day. Yeah and if I were Christian, I'm supposed to buy into the words of Apostle Claver T. Kamau-Imani in the video above? Hell, his name sounds more Muslim and UN-Christian than the name Barack Obama! I don't wanna say it, but I think this dude got picked up at the rent-a-negro store by Michael Steele.I'm serious, I think this may very well happen within the next four or possible eight years of Obama's presidency. Yes I do believe that these people will become so fearful that they will kill themselves.Yup, I don't wanna say this, but I think they'll soon lace the tea with cyanide.
Check this one out:
I'll be honest, I care as much about what you Conservative Christians believe spiritually as much I do somebody who chooses to be a suicide bomber. My thing is, I hate to see you people become just like those crazy people known as Islamic extremist who you rally against. And why? Because of the marriage of religion and politics. What ever happened to preaching love and being prophetic in that regard. You know, sorta like Black Jesus did before he was killed by Roman politicians? You know, the same Romans who turned around and made Christianity the official religion for political expediency? And what did Constantine do? He started persecuting the early Christian Gnostic pretty much like these people are doing today.
In the bible it was written that Jesus turned water into wine for some people at a party. Did you get that? He turned water into wine for the people. If Jesus was a republican, I'd like to think that he would have made his magic act into a business venture and profited, instead of doing what he did, for the people. I also remember that the bible told of a story of how he got pissed off and kicked a bunch old asshole hustlers out of the temple who were using his daddy's crib to make a profit. I don't know about you, but Jesus sounds more like a Liberal-progressive than he did a conservative. That said, it would appear to me that this very religious conservative movement, were the people he warned about some 2000 years ago.
Look, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking damn, RiPPa is about to lay it into a fat chick. Yeah you're thinking, that RiPPa is so mean. Uh huh, you probably saw the picture of the lady above and just knew that I was about to do that right? Well, you're wrong. I'm not going to talk about her being obese and weighing 420lbs.
Nope, nor am I gonna talk about the fact that she is the heaviest woman to have given birth to triplets. Nope, I'm not gonna sit here and talk about that astounding feat or how the hospital had to make a specially built operating table just for her c-section. Nor am I gonna talk about how it took 68 people to work as a team to deliver her kids.
I am also not gonna talk about how the father of her kids who happens to be Black left her in the middle of her pregnancy after meeting her and having sex with her for 4 weeks.
So what are you gonna talk about RiPPa. How did she get in them jeans?
I'm gonna talk about how this lady is a horrible mother. Ok, so How about this woman started feeding her kids fast food at 6mths old? How about this woman is living on public assistance and receives $333.00 a week and she doesn't know how to cook so she feeds her kids junkfood while she spends her money on cigarettes.
Yeah, this 24yr old mother claims that her obesity is due to a thyroid problem. Something I find hard to believe when you only feed your kids vegetables on Sunday. That plus the fact that you only leave the house once a week just to pick up your check tells me that there's more than just a thyroid problem. It tells me that this chick is trifflin. Anytime you live at home with your mom, with three kids and don't cook, or eats the salads you mother buys, you're a fat trifflin heffa. Yup, and its no surprise that the article I read about this woman says that the house has unwashed clothes and piles of toys all over.
But naw, you can't tell this woman that she's doing something wrong...
"Babies are always hungry," she said. "Sometimes it's easier to give them food that's already prepared."
Really? They make baby food and package them in bottles that are already prepared, no?
"Anyway, they don't always have junk food - sometimes I cook a microwave meal for them. My babies are healthy."
Did you say healthy? Um, you smoke 10 cigarettes a day on average and weigh 420lbs. What do you know about health? Call me an asshole, but maybe that's the reason her "boyfriend" bailed on her. And this woman says she peels the chicken nuggets so as to make them healthier.
On an average day the triplets each have an 8oz bottle of milk at around 5.30am, another at 8am, and a crumpet with butter for breakfast.
Lunch could be scrambled eggs on toast, instant mashed potato with spaghetti hoops, or a jar of baby food, followed by a packet of Wotsits each at about 2pm.
Dinner at around 4pm could be a microwave lasagne or pie which their mother chews so they can manage it, and they sometimes have another bottle of milk before bed, although their mother says they're often too full.
Yeah and that's healthy. Shit, at the pace they're going, they'll probably have to start taking shots of insulin by the time they're 2yrs old. But yet, this woman says her kids are healthy? The thing that gets me about all of this is that she lives in England.
So what does that have to do with anything RiPPa?
Well, instead of sending that horny looking Nanny chick to the States to tell people how to raise their fucked up kids. Shouldn't she be spending time with this woman and the many more like her in England in a cooking class or nutrition school? I don't know about you folks, but this woman is just damn pathetic and needs help.
Maybe I'm being mean, but I'm just thinking about the health of the kids. If she wants to eat herself into a sugar induced coma, that's fine. But its a damn shame that she's setting her kids up for some serious problems; but yet contend that they're healthy. It was said in the article that her and her kids see a visiting nurse or something like that. I don't know how they do things in England, but I think she needs more than that. What she needs is an intervention. I'm sure you have probably heard of stuff like this happening here in America. Personally, I think it's sad, and for the kids sake, I hope she gets it together before she moves into her own home.
"I do worry my kids could get picked on if they get fat, but I'd tell them that big is beautiful."
Sure lady, keep convincing yourself of that. Ain't nothing beautiful about living a short life and dying as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle. Id like to know:if this were your child, how would you deal with this? Do you think it would be wrong for the state or gov't to take her kids from her?
“He who warned uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.” -- Sarah Palin on Paul Revere
