Yes Quincy, did you think I forgot the shit you were talking about MJ right after his death? Yeah, I haven't forgotten, and I always thought that was a bitchass move, Quincy. Telling the media that Michael, "obviously didn't want to be black," while they all shit on him when his body wasn't even cold spoke volumes about you.

Hope the money is worth it, Quincy; and I also hope that should you decide to have somebody cover 'Billie Jean' in the near or distant future, that you do us a favor and at least see if they can fuckin hold a note, bitch.

Convicted Murderer Uses Facebook from Prison

Because of Social Networking, I don't even talk to people in real life anymore. Being an actual live talking human being is so 2004. When people in real life try to speak to me, because of social networking, I assume they're poor, live under a bridge, and will work for food. No seriously, I really do assume that.

Yeah I know that may sound callous, but it is the reality of the worlds within which we live; yes, there are two Americas: one with access to social networking and one without. And in 2010, this is just pathetic, folks.

Think about it, chances are, the very reason you're reading this site right now is due in large part to a social network site. And that's the beauty of it; because of social networking, like me, you're now able to trust people, even if you've never met them, nor ever will. And to me, that makes the world a better place, no?

Personally, I think it's a crime against humanity that so many people aren't able to access social network sites outside of the occasional office computer block-out. Surely the toothless Appalachian is deprived and are forced to live a horrible and destitute life by not having access to social network sites.

I mean no internet pretty much explains those drunken moonshine nights fueled by meth, and that's a crime. Speaking of crimes, checkout the following story of what happened down in Mississippi recently:

Being of Afro-Caribbean descent, and an immigrant to the United States, it's been pretty tough to watch the apathy of African Americans on the issue of immigration reform. Yeah I know the brown man came here voluntarily to work for a quarter while black folks were brought here against their will to work for free for 500yrs. While it's easy to make that distinction as justification, it's still a foolish one in my opinion.

I remember not too long ago when black folks were saying that Arizona's SB1070 anti-immigration bill wasn't our fight. Surely you remember the then hot button issue that was Arizona and it's quest to become the Whitopia of America because there were no cotton fields in the desert back in the day.

Well, I wonder what those very same black folks have to say today, now that Arizona has voted to ban Affirmative Action? Yep, guess what, black people? It's not all about those "criminal" Latinos.

Voters in Arizona on Tuesday approved Proposition 107 banning the consideration of race, ethnicity or gender by units of state government, including public colleges and universities. With 2,075 of 2,239 precincts reporting as of early Wednesday morning, the measure had just under 60 percent support in unofficial state results.

Arizona joins California, Michigan, Nebraska and Washington State in imposing such bans. Only Colorado rejected a similar ban in a statewide vote. In the states of California and Michigan, the bans led to sharp drops in the admission and enrollment of black and Latino students at flagship universities, although those institutions have made progress since the initial votes in diversifying their student bodies through race-neutral methods. In those states, however, undergraduate admission to the state universities is highly competitive.

In Arizona, a populist approach to admissions means that all students who meet certain criteria are admitted – without consideration of race or ethnicity. As a result, university officials have said that undergraduate enrollments should not be affected. However, Arizona's universities – like most institutions – have many programs for minority students, some of which could be challenged. Just last August, for example, Arizona State University announced new summer fellowships in digital media for minority students.

A young lady had just begun menstruating, and was suffering from debilitating cramps. Unfortunately, massive doses of ibuprofen did nothing to relieve the distress, so she went to her acupuncturist, Dr. Lily Ming, to get relief.

Dr. Ming had her lie down on the table and proceeded to insert several needles in her belly and hand and ear. Then Dr. Ming did something our intrepid heroine was unfamiliar with: She light pounded on the nail of the young lady’s big toe with a silver hammer for a few minutes.

“Why are you doing that?” the young lady asked.

“It’s good for the uterus,” the doctor replied.

And sure enough, the young lady’s cramps dramatically decreased as the doctor thumped, and in the days to come they did not return.

After the session, as our young lady prepared to leave, the usually quiet and reserved Dr. Ming started up a conversation. Surprised, the young lady listened as the doctor made a series of revelations. By far the most surprising was Dr. Ming’s description of a traumatic event from her own childhood.

During the military occupation of her native Manchuria, a province of China, she was forced to witness Japanese soldiers torturing people she loved. Their primary act of atrocity was using hammers to drive bamboo shoots through their victims’ big toes.

The moral of the story you ask? (Okay, you didn’t ask, but I like to pretend you ask shit like that.) The point here is that Dr. Ming accomplished the heroic feat of reversing the meaning of her most traumatic imprint. She has turned a symbol of pain into a symbol and tool for healing.

Dr. Ming is a power of example for me and poses to all of us the challenging question: what’s your excuse?

Look Who's Voted!: Drunk Patriotic Rednecks

According to United States States Election Project, this year, there was an average of 218 million eligible voters. Now, of that many eligible voters, only 42% voted; yes, that would be roughly 91 million people. Now everybody knows that Barack Obama was not on the ballot, and of course, with this being the case, low black voter turnout is being scapegoated by some as being one of the reasons Dems took the hit they did in this years midterm elections.

Well, according to CBS.com:

Independents make up an estimated 28 percent of voters in the early exit polls, with 39 percent voting Democratic and 56 percent Republican.

Black voter turnout also appears to be lower during the midterm election. An estimated 10 percent of blacks are voting, compared to 13 percent in 2008. The exit polling found 8 percent of voters are Hispanic, with 66 percent voting Democratic.

In addition, men are voting more Republican, 55 percent compared to 43 for the Democrats. Among women, Democrats have a one point edge, 49% are voting for Democrats and 48% for Republicans. In 2008, more women voted Democratic. In 2002, women voted 49 percent Republican and 49 percent Democratic.

I've been having a conversation with my father-in-law about the perceived problematic issue of low black voter turnout for a couple of days now. He's convinced that it presented itself to truly being a contributing factor to the ass-whoopin taken by the Democrats. As a matter of fact, he made me laugh when he said that if Lil Wayne was released from prison on Tuesday as opposed to today, black voter turnout would've been less.

Imagine this; Fred Sanford is at home, sitting down listening to the election returns from around the nation on his radio from NPR. Well not really, imagine me at home in the bed listening to the national election results on the radio, after all that’s what amounted for my entertainment last night. All I could say to myself, upon return upon return were Mr. Sanford’s legendary description of his son Lamont “you big dummy.”

It seemed to fit the evening correctly, both in terms of describing the democrats and the Obama administration and the fools who voted the GOP in office around the country by a historic level. In fact not since 1948, when Truman was president have we seen such a large take over of the house by one party. We know what happened nationally, now in the US House of representatives the GOP controls 239 seats, a pick up of 60 and also added 10 gubernatorial seats that they swiped from democrats

But even more troubling is what occurred on the state levels. In Georgia for example, the second Republican governor was elected in a row since 2002. Prior to this Georgia had not had a Republican Governor since Reconstruction. And for your history Buffs that is since Benjamin Conley in 1872, who ironically was one of the persons who assisted in promoting harsh resolutions condemning the state's failure to comply with the Reconstruction Acts of Congress in the organization of the General Assembly in an effort to reseat the colored members, kicked out by democrats:“A former Whig, Conley had opposed secession and retired to his plantation near Montgomery, Alabama, for the duration of the war. On his return to Georgia after the surrender it was natural for him to join the Republicans and to support the congressional plan for Reconstruction.”

But back to my point. In the state house the won 17 seats giving republicans 107 of the 180 seats and in the senate the control 37 of the 56 district senate seats.

Now what caused this? I don’t listen to pundits but I have my own developed postulate on the outcome. Now unlike many I don’t credit this too the Tea (Taxed enough Already) party, and don’t understand how folk, especially black folk can suggest such when they likely don’t even know what the acronym stand for or their beliefs, albeit most of which are rooted in agoraphobic based nativism. But I can say first and foremost is President Obama.

Lynching Costume a Winner This Halloween!

The picture above is of Michael Donald, a 19 year old man who was lynched in 1981 by the Ku Klux Klan in Alabama. I apologize to those who find the picture offensive, but I post it to show how horrific and REAL lynchings are. Yes, it is disgusting and sickening to look at for most people. But, for some, apparently, they see inspiration for a "winning" Halloween look.

So, apparently, a couple of guys at the Canadian Legion Halloween party in Campbellford, Ontario, thought they had a GREAT IDEA for a costume! One man dressed in a KKK robe and hood, and led another man, wearing black face, around by a rope tied in a noose around his neck. And, instead of the people attending the event rising up and protesting this atrocity, they AWARDED THE PAIR THE PRIZE FOR BEST COSTUME!

The Canadian Legion president offered an apology afterward, and reported that hundreds of calls were received complaining about the offensive duo. But, WHERE WAS THE OUTRAGE during the party?? Mark Andrade, a local business owner, who left in disgust after he saw the pair, had this to say:

“To say people weren't disgusted would be incorrect. But at that time there was about 200 people were there revelling, partying, drinking.”(SOURCE)

What I would like to know is WHY, if people WERE "disgusted" they did not LEAVE THE PARTY en masse?? Why was there not a huge uproar when these disgusting costumes WON THE CONTEST? Why are people too chicken to stand up against this kind of bigotry WHILE IT IS HAPPENING? Why didn't some of the 400 individuals who called to protest raise their voices WHILE THE EVENT WAS HAPPENING???

Slave Catcher of the Week: Black Republican Garbage Pail Kid, James T. Harris

OK, so I'm sure you expected me to do a post mid-term elections post-mortem type post, but I'm not. Shit, I've said all that I had to say and explain about the elections before the elections. I mean what am I supposed to say different about it today. We know what happened; hell, angry white guys came out on top for the 234th straight year; end of story. Yep, self-interest be damned as usual.

Let's leave all of that shit up to the talking heads and talk slave catchers, OK?

Alright, so you remember James T. Harris, right? You know, everybody's favorite black garbage pail kid right-wing enabler? OK, so you don't remember him; that's cool because I'll remind you of just who he is in a minute.

So anyway, the brother pictured above on his knees happened to captured in that position as President Barack Obama's caravan were exiting from Valios restaurant in Chicago a few days ago. Well here's what James T. Harris had to say about it in a note on Facebook:

Wow. Are there any photos of a White American praying to George W. Bush? This is the perfect symbol of what is wrong with African American culture.

It's the Culture, Stupid! And it's toxic!!!

The cult of personality mixed with Democrat Stockholm Syndrome, stirred with a healthy heap of dependency and despair, equals Barack Obama and the sycophant devotion African Americans show toward "their" president.

Notice, I did not say Americans of African descent...

The distinction is profound.

Now quite naturally the comments that followed came from white conservatives, and let's just say they weren't very nice. So now you're wondering why does this note make Harris a slave catcher, right?

How Dems Allowed the Tea Party to Rebrand the GOP

If everything holds true as pretty much every single poll suggests. Democrats are going to take significant losses in the House this midterm elections. I suspect that once it's all said and done and there will be much finger pointing on the left, while folks on the right will see this as some moral victory willed by God.

So, quite naturally, there'll be a lot of blame to go around, that is, if it hasn't started already. But the truth is, the Obama administration, and the Democratic Party, aside from the idiocy that is the right, bears some responsibility, if not all for their demise. However, it would be interesting to see just how this plays out.

With the imaginable quest for bi-partisanship that was as elusive as the unicorn. The White House lead Democrats all but failed to hold up their end of the bargain, and made compromise after compromise.

Ladies and Gents....

The POTUS made a strategic mistake in not seizing the moment for bold action to break with what had gone previously. He had the entire free-market right wing orthodoxy on the ropes and not only did he not move in for the kill, he also inexplicably went out of his way to help his opponent off the ropes even while he was being spat upon and kidney punched. In short, the POTUS doesn't seem to have the heart for combat.

Tough talk about "punishing your enemies" or "having to know whose a$$ to kick" doesn't change the fact that 9 times out of 10 when faced with determined and insanely vitriolic opposition from the Right, the POTUS has either tried to find middle ground or folded. And whether or not it's true, insulting the intelligence or concerns of the larger American electorate is not a winning political strategy. Neither was being 100% concerned on health care while unemployment rate was consistently over 9% too smart politically.

So whatever happens tomorrow, I hope that the POTUS can learn and readjust. If not, well the next two years will be that much more interesting.

I couldn't agree more; but I suppose folks would say he's wrong.

The American Voter: Short on Memory, Full of Fear, & Long on Stupid

Frankly, I'm tired of all the prognosticators with their "this Republican tsunami is a message to President Barack Obama that he's a failure." Wanna know the truth? The only message being sent is that some Americans have short memories, and are downright foolish. But hey, when you listen to oxygen thieves like Sarah Palin, what else is to be expected? But no, polls indicate that "certain folks" are fed up.

OK, so for many, they see Obama's policies as being the epic height of fiscal irresponsibility. And sure, Barack Obama and the Democrats are bad for the country, but are the Republicans any better? Can anyone including the man on Main Street convince me that yes they will better than what we have now?

I'm only asking because, well, according to Main Street, Obama & Co. should have had all sidewalks paved with gold by now; yeah, 18mths is more than enough time. Not hardly a small feat for a Magic Negro, right?
