Cocaine's A Helluva Drug!: Lawrence Taylor arrested for rape of 15yr old girl

So I'm thinking official last words from the backseat of a police car: "What! She was 15?? Hell naw son, somebody musta slipped some crack rocks in my Nutrisystem, or sumthin!!"
The former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested early Thursday morning and will be charged with third-degree rape involving a 15-year-old girl at a hotel in Montebello, N.Y., according to police.

The Journal News reported that the girl was a runaway from the Bronx who was taken to the Holiday Inn in Montebello by a pimp, according to Ramapo supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence. She was treated at a hospital.

“She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved,” Mr. St. Lawrence told the Journal News. “She got punched in the face. We’re not sure who did it.”

The police have scheduled a news conference for 3 p.m. to discuss the case, and have said Mr. Taylor will be arraigned on third-degree rape charges this afternoon because the victim is a minor.

Mr. Taylor, 51, lists his residence as Pembroke Pines, Fla., but he also owns a home in northern New Jersey. Montebello, a village in Rockland County about 25 miles north of New York City, is close to the New York-New Jersey state line; the hotel is located just off the New York Thruway. (Source: New York Times)
Sucks to be Lawrence Taylor right now especially with his well known checkered past of drug abuse. He was the guy that I truly rooted for to stay on the right path while traveling down the road of recovery. Something tells me that drugs was involved - it's the only way (I think) he would have been in a situation like that where a pimp and a hooker is involved. I could be wrong, but I doubt seriously whether 15yr old prostitutes are complimentary services these days; and, usually when there's drugs and a hotel room, there are women. Even he has admitted to this in an interview on 60 Minutes some years ago.

I mean, when you're Lawrence Taylor, and you're in New York City where you've lead the home team to two Super bowl victories? Chances are, you don't have to pay to get laid; people pay you just to be seen with you, whether you're a recovering addict or not. Oh well, too bad he's retired and in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If he were a current white player with a recent Super Bowl victory, maybe the charges would be dropped, and all he would have to serve is a six game suspension.

This is gonna be quite interesting as it unfolds, folks.

Guest Blogger: Rush Limbaugh done picked the wrong ninja to eff with! (by Max Reddick)

(Editor's Note: I've had to opportunity to sit at a table across from Max Reddick over dinner and some spiritual libation. He didn't pick up the check but he's still cool with me. Ladies and gentlemen, do yourself a favor and ad the blog soulbrother v.2 to your daily reading and get to know this man as I have. And be on the lookout for big things to come from this brother if you will.)

RiPPa told me that anything goes over here, so I should just drop my usual aplomb and get buck wild. So I am typing this post butt naked. I did put a towel in the seat, however; I didn’t like how the leather felt on my naked behind.

But let me begin.

I am not necessarily fans of our favorite two uncles, the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. As author Norman Kelley recently wrote, the two have become incessant headline chasers. And over the years, they have become very adept at the use of images and artifice; they know black folk really well, and they know just what buttons to push to incite them. Additionally, the two of them know how to gain and hold the spotlight. However, I believe our two uncles are still useful to us. If I might use comedian and activist Dick Gregory’s washing machine analogy, their greatest usefulness is as agitators. Gregory writes that the agitator is the working mechanism in a washing machine that cleans clothes as it moves back and forth. Without the agitator, the clothes would not come clean.

In our society, the activist is the agitator. If we did not have activists, if we did not have agitators, the powers that be would just plow over us. And that is the function our two uncles perform; they are professional agitators. After making a statement or taking an action that in anyway can be construed as racist, who wants to hear that dreaded phrase, “Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are out front, and the media would like a statement”?

And in the last week or so when racist rhetoric king extraordinaire Rush Limbaugh decided he wanted to become part owner of an NFL franchise, who was the first to step up and shut that foolishness down? That’s right! None other than our favorite uncles, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

And on the 7th day, God made Brett Favre

Evolutionists and creationists may not agree on very much. But the one thing they do agree on is that God did not rest on the seventh day. No, who needs rest when you're God. Instead of lying around watching tractor-pull what God did on the seventh day was to create Brett Favre. That's right, and then immediately after that he created Vince Lombardi and Lambeau Field; and hence the Green Bay Packers. Listen, RiPPa is a serious Green Bay Packer fan. Even so, I'm excited that old number four is back to give it a go for his 20th season.

Ok yeah, some of you are disgusted about all the media hype, and the on again off again retirement. Yeah, I understand how some of you think he's trying to take Mike Vick's moment in the spotlight. But did any of you get tired or expressed your disgust at that dude Jesus Christ when he woke up from the dead? No you guys didn't, and him walking out of that grave was the best thing for you believers. Well see, Brett Favre is to football what Jesus Christ is to Christians. Yes, I love that man and I believe in him. Truth be told, he's probably the only White man in the world that I would ever fellate. Ok, forget that I said that last line and understand that to me, he's omnipotent and I'm a huge fan. Sure he's from Mississippi and may be a closet Klansman, but do I have to hold that against him?

So while I sit back and watch people vent their frustrations with the guy, just know that RiPPa is ecstatic. Hell I even picked him in a Fantasy Football league this past weekend before the big announcement of his return. Sure it's gonna be hard cheering for the Vikings and the Packers who are both in the same division. But hey, you cannot beat the subplot. As a football fan you gotta love the fact that Brett Christ has a chance to compete and go up against his old team this year especially after the way they pretty much dumped him about a year ago. Yeah, they dumped him, and I don't wanna hear jack about indecision and Brett either. But that's ok, hell people shitted on Jesus Christ too as he walked to his death. Yes, and some people are of the opinion and are actually wishing that Brett meets the same demise.

Uh huh, I've read comments from people who would love to see nothing more than his failure or some season ending injury. As a fan of the game I cannot understand how a person would wish for the injury of a player if their last name doesn't rhyme with Homo. Commentary like that, though disheartening just makes me more pumped to see old number four prove everyone wrong. From all accounts the Minnesota Vikings are excited and I'm actually happy for them. Because seriously, arriving in town is nothing but another blessing from God sorta like when Reggie White signed with Green Bay back in the day. Yes, I'm thinking the Minnesota Vikings would love nothing more than to be contenders and have people forget about that infamous boat ride from a few years ago.

Yeah, all of you people hatin' on Favre are just racist. Oh wait, you didn't think I was gonna get through this post without pulling the race card? C'mon, you know what this blog is about. So yeah, all of you Negro Favre haters are racist. Michael Jordan came back twice and none of you said shit. Then y'all talk about how Brett is an old man, but yet cheered for George Foreman when he came out of retirement at the age of seventy five and was knocking heads off. Hell, most of you still cheered when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was throwing up skyhooks when he was ninety three. Come to think of it, it's not only a race thing, it's an age thing as well. I say give the ole boy a chance, and stop hatin' on him because he's White and not Black like Jesus.

Protesting Michael Vick's return to the NFL will not stop people in the far east, or the NFC East from eating dog meat - so why even waste time.

I mean seriously I wanna know why even waste time protesting. I don't know about you, but not only do I love NFL football, I love me some Chinese food. Yeah, I know it's probably just some ole stereotypical shit for me to suggest that Chinese people eat dog and cat meat. Yeah, and that probably makes me as racist as the next guy. But hey, I've watched Bizarre Foods with that Zimmerman dude on the Travel Channel, and it's true; they do eat dog meat in China and elsewhere in the far east. Considering we're indebted to China, there's no telling what they may be sneaking into our refrigerators [read this]. But I don't see anybody protesting Jackie Chan at Rush Hour movies. Jokes aside, if Vick was never allowed to return to the league there would be no protest, and dogs would still be euthanized at animal shelters.

Oh you didn't know that happens? Uh huh, it sure does. According to a study done by National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy back in 1997, 64% of animals in shelters are euthanized; yep, 56% of dogs and 71% of cats that enter shelters were euthanized. Yep, the animal shelter is sorta like the Auschwitz Concentration Camp of the animal world. Yep, they kill animals for whom a home cannot be found. But yet, they're protesting Michael Vick? Seems like they'd put forth the necessary energy into finding homes for these animals instead. Mike Vick is currently working with the Humane Society and being a part of the solution. And what are the protesters doing?

I guess you need a high profile celebrity as a target to gain attention to your cause. Yep, I get it now. And what better a profile than a Black man who was convicted of a crime. Oops, I mean a Black men who just so happens to be rich because White America has allowed it. Ok, so yeah, I know you're probably thinking that everything isn't racial, and that all Black men who go to prison isn't Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther King Jr.; yeah I know that's what you're thinking, and yes Vick deserved to be punished. But did the punishment fit the crime? Further, does he deserve all this negative attention even after he has been contrite? It's not like he's actually been channeling his inner Tupac Shakur and screaming f*ck the world now, has he?

The man has paid his debt to society, but I guess that's not good enough. Maybe I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt that if Brett Favre (the best quarterback to play the game; what, say something!) was convicted of the same crime there would be less hoopla. No joke, I really believe that. If Brett did that, I doubt he would have gotten prison time. He would have been given a light slap on the wrist for doing what the good ole boys do in the south. And you know why? Because he's not some poor kid from the ghetto who (was lucky to have White folks throw him millions; you know how they take care of their slaves these days) blew an opportunity to make millions. Having said that, now I understand what Vick means when he says that he now realizes that playing in the NFL is not a right but a privilege. Shit, Mike Vick killed some fighting dogs and did time in prison for it. People should stop acting like he ate them and let the man live.

Love's Gonna Get'cha - Too Bad There's No Two Minute Warning in Life

When I heard that Steve McNair was found shot dead I was stunned. My first thought was of Sean Taylor; the Washington Redskins player who was killed in a home invasion not too long ago. Then I heard that McNair was found dead with more holes than Swiss cheese with the body of a woman next to him. Immediately I questioned whether it was his wife. If I'm not mistaken and I remember correctly, it wasn't too long ago that he had a domestic violence issue at his home with his wife.

With that in mind I didn't want this to be the story in the end of his life and illustrious NFL career. But then it was released that the then unidentified woman was 20yrs old. So then I'm thinking: what the hell is a married 36yr old man doing shot up and laying dead next to a dead 20yr old? Quite naturally I ruled it as one of those murder-suicide deals.

I don't know McNair's personal life; whether he and his wife were separated or not. But I do know from the news reports it's been said that the condo where he was found dead was one that was rented by him and one of his male friends -- it was also reported that the 20yr old, Sahel Kazemi, the "friend" stayed at the condo. So from the looks of things my man Steve was indeed banging a 20yr old chick. I don't know, maybe its anal glaucoma, but I can't see my ass f*ckin with a 20yr old while I'm married. Hell, I can't see my ass screwing around with a 20yr old period when I'm 38yrs old; Steve was 36.

It was also reported that a few nights before the discovery of their bodies that they were pulled over in a vehicle that is registered to both McNair and the 20yr old friend. I'm not trying to get all up in the brothas business, but, umm, where was his wife? Other than the fact that I love my wife, this is one of the reasons I will never cheat on her. I'm just saying, not that I've thought of cheating on her before. It's just that I'm fearful if I ever did something embarrassing is going to happen which would expose my infidelity.

The last thing I need in my life would be Joey Greco and a Cheaters camera crew showing up in my face. Unfortunately for Steve the camera crew showed up after he was killed and his business is now in the streets. He was a good guy by all accounts, and he was well known in the Nashville area for his charity work. It's sad that the circumstances of his death will overshadow his hard work on and off the field.

But hey, domestic violence is a serious issue, and this shows that women too can be aggressors with grave consequences. Just ask Gary Coleman's wife; from what I read she got arrested last night for beating his little ass. As I mentioned in an earlier post about domestic violence: a man hitting a woman is just as bad as a woman hitting a man. But dammit, a woman beating up a midget is just dead ass wrong, ain’t it?

All in all the news about Steve McNair's death hits hard with football fans across the country and especially Tennessee Titan fans here in the state. Fans who will always remember Steve leading one of the most memorable drives in the Superbowl. A drive where him and his team came up one yard short of winning. From the looks of it now, he may have come up one yard short again and paid dearly with his life. Sadly, in life, there's no two minute warning or drill.

PLEASE DON'T LET WARREN SAPP BE GAY?

Ok look, no more retired football players on "Dancing With The Stars". OK? Look, I don't watch the show, but I watch football. After I got thru watching the New York Jets on Monday night football, and watching Brett Favre lose; yeah I'm not happy right now. And after watching the Packers lose the night before to the Cowboys, I turn on to the NFL Network to play catchup on this past weeks games, and interviews. And what comes on my TV screen? Warren Sapp dancing. No, not that quarterback sack dance for which he was famous for doing when he played. The dude was doing the cha cha. And no, not the ghetto hokie pokey, cha cha slide, that negroes won't let die either. The man was dressed in a suit and dancing...ballroom style. He's a pretty big guy, and I'm sure he's light on his feet, as some of us are. But I think he set us big dudes who wish they played in the NFL back a few years. You can expect newly retired NFL players to be doing commentary on a game, but not ballroom dancing?!!

Shit, I remember when Herschel Walker (who played for the Cowboys at the time) did ballet in the off season. And I could remember dudes thinking it was gay. Actually, I still think there are rumors about Herschel being gay after that deal. But he did study ballet in college. Not that ballet is gay. Nope, you'll never hear me say that. But seeing your once favorite NFL player dance around on TV is kinda gay in my book. Its almost as messed up as seeing your favorite pornstar retire, and start preaching on TV on Sunday morning. But hey, I guess this is just white people's way of getting back at us for laughing at them for having no rythm.

I wanna remember Warren Sapp for being the terror he was to opposing quarterbacks on the field. And now all of that is lost. Now he's the fat gay looking cha cha man. Seriously, I hope he gets voted off real soon, and not go the distance like Emmit Smith did a couple years ago on the show. That shit wasn't hot in the streets. Maybe it was for soccer moms, and white people watching across the country. But please believe, the brothas wasn't feelin it in the streets, or in the locker room. When Jerry Rice did it ( I think he was the first) it was cool I guess. I mean, no homo radars went off or anything. But here we are 3 weeks into the NFL football season, and we have Warren Sapp.

*sigh*

Nothing against gay men, but I don't wanna think that "Dancing With The Stars" has become the coming out of the closet move for former NFL players. Whats next, John Amaechi, or Dennis Rodman wearing a wedding dress dancing together, doing the mambo? I'm sorry, but that stuff might be cool for any athlete other than a football player, but after seeing Warren dance, this shit has to stop. Retired rapper Master P did it a couple seasons ago, and I was shocked that he did. But I guess he'll do anything to try and stay in the limelight. Hell we figured that shit out real quick when he went from rapping to Nickelodeon. Maybe next season they'll have a gay rapper. Suddenly LL Cool J comes to mind. I mean hell, he ain't doin shit else otherwise, and I doubt the ladies are cheking for him like they used to. Besides, LL Cool J doesn't have a sack record, or a Superbowl ring like my man Warren, and his gay lick lipping should be perfect for the show.
