Bobby Jindal: A Slumlord Millionaire, And A Liar

Well, we know his first name isn't "Bobby". Actually, his real name is Piyush. How in the hell they got the name "Bobby" out of that, I don't know. We also know that he is the governor of Louisiana and a republican. And just like a very well known very recent republican president, and another republican talk show host who's name rhymes with flush, we now know that Bobby is a liar.

Remember that rebuttal speech he gave after President Obama's State Of The Union Address the other night. Remember that? Yeah, the one where he looked like a ventriloquist dummy as he tried to reinvent conservatism as he sounded like Mr. Rogers from Dubai in a "Slumdog Millionaire" kinda way? Uh huh. The one where he told the story about Hurricane Katrina and the conversation he had with the sheriff? Yeah, well, he lied about that conversation.

Yup, according to these people right here, he wasn't even present, and has since offered a half ass explanation or apology

"Jindal had described being in the office of Sheriff Harry Lee "during Katrina," and hearing him yelling into the phone at a government bureaucrat who was refusing to let him send volunteer boats out to rescue stranded storm victims, because they didn't have the necessary permits. Jindal said he told Lee, "that's ridiculous," prompting Lee to tell the bureaucrat that the rescue effort would go ahead and he or she could arrest both Lee and Jindal.

But now, a Jindal spokeswoman has admitted to Politico that in reality, Jindal overheard Lee talking about the episode to someone else by phone "days later." The spokeswoman said she thought Lee, who died in 2007, was being interviewed about the incident at the time.

This is no minor difference. Jindal's presence in Lee's office during the crisis itself was a key element of the story's intended appeal, putting him at the center of the action during the maelstrom. Just as important, Jindal implied that his support for the sheriff helped ensure the rescue went ahead. But it turns out Jindal wasn't there at the key moment, and played no role in making the rescue happen."

And just think, people say that the republican party is in disarray. Hell, sounds like the lies are still alive coming from the party of no just like always. My guess its just more par for the course. Oh well, what else can you expect from this bunch. Hopefully he's lying about not accepting that Stimulus money as well. Louisiana isn't exactly like the slums of Dubai, but economically back in 2006, the state ranked #42 in unemployment. It also had a median family income of $37, 472, and ranked 50th among the top highest paid states. This was back in 2006 in the aftermath that was Hurricane Katrina.

Somehow, with the state of the economy nationally, I doubt it's very different down there. So when Bobby claimed that less gov't is the best way to go in these economic times, coupled with his proclamation of not accepting federal funds from the Stimulus, and lie in his rebuttal about his hand in Katrina rescue efforts? I can only conclude that he is nothing but a Slumlord lying ass republican millionaire. A stupid one at that. Because if anything, a Slumlord always takes the money, and never fixes shit. Lets just hope the levees do not break again in New Orleans. If it should happen, lets hope that Governor Bobby "We Don't Need Gov't" Jindal doesn't have anymore lies to tell

Rippa, I am not surprised that the story turned out to be false. From the former president to the governors of state, formula for the republicans seems to be to reinvent history.

I wish Jindal could have been around for katrina, he might have a different story to tell....he might be saying that he was left to fend for himself right along with the other people of color.

I read an article were he made the remarks some people from india, do not like blacks.
